This REALLY inexpensive desktop mic ($34.95!) has the features THIS "Oldster" needs and appreciates. The clarity is about as good as it gets, with the mid-tones not being as mushy or tinny as quite a few mics under $50 sometimes sound, IMHO. And I like that it comes in its desktop stand, but also a separate piece for attaching to a boom_ VERY nice touch! :-) Oh, and the mic is suspended with a 4-point shock-cord system! If ya enjoy light shows, this thing has all the primary colors to choose plus some extra, some solid in color while others having a graduation from top-to-bottom two-color effect. You can choose from solid to a sort of pulsing, have it going from color-to-color, OR simply turn it off, and it is VERY simple with the touch of the button! The 'pattern' is very noticeable. When recording wile slowly turning the mic to talk at all the angles, there is a VERY noticeable drop when turning to the back of the mic. The side rejection, while not as significant as the back, is still very good! This is not a mic well suited for table use regarding several people having a meeting around the table. This mic is primarily used for being about 6-to-12 inches from the face. I would think the PERFECT use would be to have each person with this mic in from of their mouths, mounted on a boom arm... VERY directional. The noise-cancelling is really good. I had a loud radio program talk show, easily picked up by the mic, about 14 feet away, with the speaker at about a 45° angle to my front-left. While the radio's audio was not 100% reduced when noise-cancelling enabled, it was VERY much reduced. The ONLY 'con' I have is the large gain control knob at the bottom. It is extremely easy to turn, so you can accidentally nudge it while say moving it around the desk. When I get a chance, I might just put a piece of tape over the knob at the max setting to keep that from happing... I'm lazy, and have no use for the gain being less than max on the mic. And the pop-screen is a nice touch. If you are looking to get a very affordable desk-top microphone with a great sound result, for use directly in front of the face, I really can't think why THIS one shouldn't suit the need.

This mic is surprisingly high quality for the price! It works really well and sounds great, and I love the design! Looks very professional and I love the color options.

I was very skeptical when buying this. I have been looking at microphones that are around $100, which was just too much for my budget. This sounds almost identical to my friend's $150 mic. The quality is absolutely fantastic, however, I do encourage a mic stand, or something to raise your mic closer to your mouth. It was quiet, but I used a candle that I had on my desk anyway to raise it, and it sounds great. It was easy to plug in. It has a mute button on the top that works great, and another button for the color. It is very durable, and you can adjust it up/down. It is not huge either, the size of basically every other mic you can buy. The colors are limited, but it's great. Definitely worth the money.

Cheap and convenient. My only issue with it is that the volume can still feel quite quiet even though its volume is at max. This can be adjusted with software, so it’s not a huge issue. The quality itself is very clear and crisp, so if you are looking for a budget option this is solid.

Love this mic on my desk. It looks great and sounds good (or at least my friends say they hear me loud and clear). The sound quality overall when recording myself through nvidia shadow-play is sharp and in Discord and In-Game everyone can hear me clearly. The noise cancellation is somewhat effective at lower settings but can sometimes clip out my voice when turned up too high. The touch controls on the microphone are easy to use though I do occasionally change colors by accident when trying to use the mute button. I initially had some issues with upgrading the firmware but they released a standalone firmware that is not part of the Noise Cancellation software. It will update the device successfully to the current 1.07 release. I cannot tell too much difference in the mic since the update but it's performance remains at least the same. Also my contact with the seller during the troubleshooting phase of the software was very helpful, courteous, and professional. I'd recommend buying this from the seller to others.

I was using my laptop mic for years and finally decided to get a mic. This is a great first mic, very easy to understand. Good quality as well. My friends noticed the great sound quality right away.

Haven't even played with it much yet but had to express my excitement. Some youtube reviews I saw said you had to have this mic close to your face for it to work. This is not the case. Just hooked it up and out of the box, at about 18 inches away, it picks up my whispers on the lowest setting. I need to add the software but I can already tell this mic is exactly what I needed. Plugged the mic in to my pc, my IEMs in to the mic and it all immediately worked. Have it chillin next to my monitor and it is out of the way and works great. I love that the volume on the mic is only for mic input and output sound is still controlled from my keyboard as normal, even with IEMs plugged in to the mic. This is a great set up. It's a cool looking unit as well. I see no cons as of yet. Grab one of these and some good, cheap IEMs like Fanmusic TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero:RED and you're in business. Better than headphones in higher price ranges.

Purchased. This was a gift for my granddaughter. it is very pretty. It was easy to set up, sound quality is great. Her desk is by window facing backyard and often dogs are barking and this microphone cancels out those sounds. The recording volume is adjustable. She has been able to record not just for content, and game, but also for her homeschool assignments. The sensitivity is made to cancel out loud background sounds. The functionality is great. It was worth the price. And, the size is perfect as it isn’t bulky or obnoxious. It fits really pretty with my pink theme and vibe in her room.

Voice isolation is great in this mic but not a condenser
