TruffleHunter's Black Truffle Slices: A Luxurious, Yet Almost Perfect Delicacy
I recently indulged in the TruffleHunter Black Truffle Slices, and I must say, they bring a touch of luxury to everyday meals. Packed in high-quality extra virgin olive oil, these truffle slices are a culinary delight.Upon opening the jar, the aroma of the truffles was immediately noticeable, rich and earthy, setting the stage for the taste experience. The slices themselves were a good size, perfect for garnishing or incorporating into dishes.Taste-wise, they're exceptional. The truffles have a deep, earthy flavor, enhanced by the quality olive oil. They've elevated my pasta dishes, risottos, and even simple scrambled eggs to a new level of gourmet. The packaging is another plus – it's elegant and functional, keeping the truffles well-preserved. I also appreciate that a little goes a long way, making the jar last despite regular use. However, there's a slight downside. The truffles, while flavorful, seem to lose a bit of their texture during the preservation process. They don't quite have that fresh truffle firmness, which I missed. In conclusion, the TruffleHunter Black Truffle Slices are a great addition to any kitchen, especially for those who love to experiment with flavors. While they fall just short of perfection due to the texture, the overall quality, flavor, and presentation make them a worthwhile purchase. 4 out of 5 stars for bringing a taste of luxury to my meals!

Value for money
Perfect Christmas gift for a mushroom lover! These quality truffles are so tasty and didn't cost the Earth. They are presented in a cute jar, and once opened can keep in the fridge for up to 3 days..that's unless you devour the whole lot in one go!

Delicious, with a creamy pasta sauce. Oh yes. 5*Really very scrumptious. Keith Floyd would have approved of this product. Will be buying more, but a little goes a long way. Try pan fried flambé foie gras with Armangac on toast, just introduce the slivers to the pan at the very end with another click of butter and a small splash of double cream.Heaven. One could also combine it with dried/fresh morels in again a spirit based sauce with cream and butter for a napping on, say, veal escalopes. Make sure your butcher flattens them wafer thin... Just like Mr Mangetout liked...But also, Dublin bay prawns/Cornish crab claws in garlic, parsley and black truffle butter with hunks of crusty white bread... Well - we are going into gastronaut orbit. As for transforming the humblest chicken livers, cream, a tad of gelatine, chocolate in a Bain Marie with a few of these we are talking about perfection on toast. There we are ~ nice product, well packaged. Fragrant, pungent & delicious. Perhaps as close as you can get to a fresh truffle rooted out of the soil underneath an oak tree in Perigord Vert as one might hopefully get. And actually not a bad price too.Perhaps I should write some recipes for their website ? Happy cooking, happy gourmandising, happy life ! Greg

Beautiful and real truffles with a deep earthy flavour.
Beautiful and real truffles with a deep earthy flavour. These are lovely slices of black truffle, with a deep flavour. Perfect for cooking with - although be mindful (for the non-truffle users) that these do not taste like 'mushrooms' and can be an acquired taste. They have a very earthy favour and you only need a small amount to bring out the flavour, don't over-use them in cooking (think like when using saffron).Fantastic flavour though, long lasting and top quality.I used some in a truffle cream sauce and in my filo pastry mushroom cups; absolutely devine

Perfect for my dinner party
Loved the sliced truffle. Put them on the top of Italian potato and onion soup with some truffle oil and black pepper.
