I haven't worked with a lot of leather, though of course I've owned and handled plenty of leather items over the years, and this stuff feels and smells like some of the best of those. I'm a little worried that the red dye may transfer if I use it for bookmarks as I had planned, though, and I'll have to test that out first. It's a good thickness, not so thick that I can't cut it pretty easily with ordinary hand tools, not so thin that I'm worried about ripping it.But oh my goodness, will ALL THE SELLERS EVERYWHERE PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS PACKAGING? *Plastic-free* and gorgeous. The outer cardboard tube is beautifully papered in an ancient map print on lovely-textured and lovely-colored kraft parchment. (I'm giving it to my kid to hold role-playing game maps.) Inside that is a cotton muslin drawstring bag. I won't be throwing any of this away. What if all the packaging of everything was so thoughtfully made? 🥹

This is a beautiful leather. Rich color, high quality item. I have made wallets with it and they are very well received by my customers.

I am a novice to leather but wanted to make some leather bag tags on my Cricut Maker. I was concerned about the thickness as the Cricut brand leather is very thin but no problem. Using the knife blade, my Cricut cut these pieces just fine.

The real story of these leather sheets is the packaging. It came in a vintage-looking tube AND in a cloth bag. That's some craftsmanship and pride in your product right there. Going to cut these up and turn them into leather bookmarks, but I will definitely find some use out of the tube, too.
