Walking Shade

I really like this song, it makes me really excited to hear the new album, only 1 week away! It's hard to coment on this song without comparing it to the pumpkins, but i'll try anyway. The song in itself is pretty simple, it's guitar driven with synth over the top mostly following corgans voice, which is as expressive and gorgeous as ever. i think most corgan fans will be pleased with the new effort, and he should attract new fans with this. The DVD itself is decent. The video is typical corgan, it's very strange! theres lots of period dress (victorian i believe). It's shot in a very unique way, it appears like 'living paper', a phrase you will understand after you see it. The interview section is interesting, but some of the questions are simply pointless (how do you think the evolution of machines is related to the evolution of man? - eh what?), a more conventional interview would probably be appreciated more. All in all very worth getting be you fan or not.

Huge Pumpkins Fan: Its a brilliant song, its just brilliant, in the same vein as the pumpkins, Any pumpkins fan should like this song, its just great. nothing more to say really....

After going to an awesome show from the legend that is Mr Corgan at the Forum(night 2), i wanted some of his new music on record, so i bought the dvd in a shop down in london, I love the new direction that the music has taken and can't wait to get the album, but i think this release is really only for collection, it's not an ideal'single'. The video is fabulous as well as the song, albeit neither are much like any other contempary releases, but surely this is what we love about Billy? definitely, billy is pushing forward and has created something new, whilst giving nod to the past and keeping a real classic corganesqe feel to his music. The annoyance for me though was not being abe to buy a single before the album came out on CD format, obviously it only plays on a DVD player, but I wanted something I could listen to with a couple of B-sides in my room, and that's not what we get here. There's only one song on the disk,firstly the video, (which is wonderful), then the audio track, then a long video of just billy talking, whilst being excellently put together, dragged on a little, I am a huge fan, but that doesn't mean I should automatically love everything I am given by the people in charge does it? Of course not! For me, as a music release, there wasn't enough on the disk to satisfy my curiosity for a whole week while i wait for the album.
