Did not like the fact the cover was not addressed in the book. I was most interested in that when I bought the book. Ok recipes, not what I was expected and unlikely to use any for much of anything. Mediocre quality. Review: My best friend for the Holidays. - Natalie Oliver's Christmas Dessert Recipes from Around the World; what more could a bumbling cook in the kitchen like me need? Notta. Natalie traveled all over the world as a "military brat" (excuse the pun) and she knows a little about a little when it comes to the delicious recipes in this cook book. I like the way the recipes are organized by country, I like how easy it is to follow the instructions which is key with me. I can use my Kindle Tablet with my Go-Go Pillow and put the ingredients together while making a mess (bumbling cook). I have a cook book that my sister-in law wrote 20 years ago. It is a staple in my home and now the pages are torn and smudged. I feel this cook book will do the same on my Kindle screen(ha ha). A recipe book full of decadence.

Disappointed
This was supposed to be a Christmas present but once I got it I was too disappointed to give it to anyone! It didn't really seem like it's a real book. .. the cover is nice but the inside is just typed computer pages with no pictures. .. I would not recommend this to anyone. The only nice part was when I tried to return it they said I did not need to go through the trouble return it and I still got my money back.

Perfect No Matter Where You Are From
Natalie's book is perfect no matter where you are from or what your cultural background is. I can't say I tried all the recipes. Who in their right mind could do that before the holidays? But I really liked the date and apricot recipe. That one appealed to me and it turned out great! I'm surprised because I usually can't cook. The recipes inside cover all sorts of cultures and unique christmas dessert recipes. Of course you don't have to wait until christmas to order this. I'm sure these recipes are delicious any time of year! So anyway, wrapping up, (no pun intended), this is a great book and I highly recommend. You won't be dissapointed. Try the apricot and date recipe.

A must-have for the holidays!
This cookbook is awesome! I love how the author organized the recipes by country - there are many recipes here and I want to try them all! The Gingerbread from Germany and the Thai Style Creme Caramel are making my mouth water already. The ingredients and directions are organized very well and will be easy to follow when I take my Kindle with me to the kitchen. Just saw the Divinity recipe and that brings back a lot of memories of watching my Dad stir the divinity every Christmas. This is a must-have for your kitchen!
