I have it plugged into my desk on my main PC, and I can connect my mini-PC to it, which always travels with me for business. No need to connect everything at home, just the mini pc to this Switch and I can switch from one pc to another, using the same mouse/keyboard (without a third party program), all thanks to a wired remote control (not mandatory to install) or a button on the device.I have tried a few others, but the main issues I experienced with those and what makes this one stand out, were that they inconsistently seemed to stop working, or perhaps more accurately, stopped recognizing the "active" system. This would require me to execute a switch to the 2nd computer, even if that system was not currently powered on, and then a switch back to get the keyboard to be recognized by the active system once again. In other words, at random moments, I would suddenly find that the keyboard stopped working. Switching away from, then back to the active system fixed the problem each time, but it was definitely an annoyance at best, and depending on what was going on / what I was doing at the time, a major hassle. I have NOT experienced that problem with this switch in several months of use ... not once, not ever. No delays, good value!

Very nice. Small, it's so lightweight that with all the cables attached the device just sits behind my desk suspended by cables. I use the wired remote to switch devices. You can't even see it. Great if you are working from home and want to switch over to your personal machine throughout the day.USB ports are nice to share devices between PCs. I have a camera, wireless mouse and keyboard, and a headset attached to mine. I never have an issue switching back and forth. If you decide not to use it as a KVM switch you can use it as a USB hub. Pretty cool for the money.

Can be a bit glitchy on the second input. I’ll have to toggle back and forth a few times to get it to work. Otherwise it’s great.

The media could not be loaded. Managing two computers with a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse was becoming more difficult, particularly when attempting to balance the duties associated with both professional and personal endeavors. This KVM switch came with the promise of supporting high-definition video and facilitating rapid device sharing, and it has, for the most part, lived up to those promises. The slim form is able to tuck nicely behind my desk, and the HDMI connections that were supplied made the first setup procedure quite simple. Due to the fact that it was a plug-and-play gadget, it needed very little setup, which was a significant benefit for someone who is not extremely knowledgeable about technology. The capability to switch between computers by using either the physical button or the remote control offers an additional degree of ease, which I find to be really helpful during extended periods of work. It came as a great surprise to me that the display quality was so crystal clear. This means that both my business papers and high-resolution media seem crisp and vivid. For my graphic design work, where color accuracy and attention to detail are of the utmost importance, this degree of clarity is absolutely necessary. Additionally, the presence of three USB 3.0 hubs enables the transmission of data across devices in a speedy and efficient manner, which makes the administration of peripherals a breeze.

This product worked fine for the first 6 weeks, then it started to have a connection outage hiccup of 1 second every 4 hours. I'm only sharing a simple USB headphone-microphone set, keyboard, mouse, plus HDMI. All USB devices are shared via a USB hub with its own dedicate power, meaning the only power the KVM is needed to draw is from the HDMI connections.I cannot get ahold of tech support. Losing 1 second every 4 hours might not sound like much, but if it's a live conference call related to work, and the most critical piece of the conversation you need to hear is lost during that one second, then this makes a difference. And because this problem only started happening to me at the 6 week point, it is too late for me to get a refund or exchange via Amazon.Do yourself a favor, and pay the extra money for a slightly more expensive KVM that has its own dedicate 5-15V power (requires extra plug in your AC power). Definitely worth the extra cost to not have a 1 second outage every 4 hours.

The KVM switch was easy to install and works fine however the remote switch was not functional.

This one works really well, which is not always the case with KVM devices
