Gates 44039 Premium Engine Water Pump

Just received the item. Haven't installed it yet. Hope to do this tomorrow. The item came in the manufacture's box. The box's lid or flap was secured by the manufacturer's label / product information decal. This decal was torn and the box was partially open. Sadly, the aluminum-embossed gasket inside was bent in various places--likely because it either fell out of the box at some point or due to the pump bouncing around inside the box while it was on it's way to my front door. I have carefully straightened the aluminum gasket. The manufacturer should keep the gasket separated from the pump via a cardboard partition and/or some sort of padding (popcorn, foam, bubble wrap). And the box used for shipping should have been further secured with tape or placed inside an Amazon box. Hell, I have received small, unbreakable items from Amazon that were heavily padded and shipped in a box three times larger than necessary. Come on, Amazon, you have and can do better!!!

I purchased this water pump in March here it is July and it’s leaking through the weep hole. I am very disappointed because I heard this was a good brand. Now I have to buy another water pump. I don’t recommend

Great quality iotem, worked perfectly

The Gates water pump had a great price looks really good fits and appears to go well. Was surprised that this one was made in China and not the US as most Gates are. Hoping it holds up to the Gates standards I have come to expect.

Poor quality product, it failed in less than two months and now it's leaking from the center shaft. I expected more from this brand, they used to be good back in the day. Won't recommend this product, will go with OEM as I should've done the first time.Vehicle is a 2020 Durango GT Plus V6.

Purchased and started leaking within 2 weeks. Watched a youtube video on how the Gates brand leaks. Don't waste your money pay more for the mopar brand. You'll save a headache and shop fees
