The product is as advertised and the installation instructs are clear. Just make sure you follow them word for word. I purchased the film to cover a full length mirror, the film does have a slight colour to it, so I decided to cover the back of the mirror. I did find it quite hard to handle to begin with. It arrived wound up in a tube, when I took it out it sprang open, because it is so shinny it was difficult to hold so I would suggest leaving it out of the tube for a few days before starting to work with it.

The instructions enclosed when delivered showed a picture that intimated the film that goes to the glass was on the inside of the supplied roll, with the liner on the outside. Wasn’t convinced but thought better adhere too.It all seemed OK but when the ‘slip’ had dried the so called liner I’d removed was very tacky.Concerned I contacted the suppliers and explained. They confirmed that the adhesive side of the film that goes onto the window should feel tacky when dry and not the liner.So.... before doing anything slightly separate the film from the liner, confirm which one has a tacky side, that’s the side of the film that goes to the glass after applying the slip.Instructions wrong so why 5 stars? The suppliers couldn’t have been more helpful and supplied a replacement length free of charge.

Our club Velux windows needed to be covered due to one shattering. The film is very easy to apply following the instructions in spite of them being overhead. all our windows are now covered and safe now.

I bought this product not to strengthen glass but because we got new doors fitted and we have a large dog that paws the glass to go out or come back in.I have used this just up to the height the dog can reach inside and out to stop glass scratches and it seems to be working great.There's a few marks and air bubbles but can't notice unless very close with eyes.I'm only hoping if I ever want to remove it doesn't leave a harmful adhesive on the glass.

If you hang wall paper you’ll be ok- it takes care to prevent it resealing it self. It sticks ok but must have air bubbles wiped out whilst fitting.

this product is fantastic - just make sure you follow instructions to the letter, preferably after watching a video on youtube several times.. I have handled materials of many different kinds for decades, so am confident and capable, if you are a novice, get someone to help you, particularly when peeling the thin coating film of the actual film Use plenty of soapy water, more, not less.

Good clear instructions, and though it seems like a long-winded process it makes it very simple.1. Clean the window2. wet the window3. Put the film on backwards4. Remove the backing5. Wet it again6. Turn it around7. Squeegee out the waterI used 2 rolls for 45 small panes of glass on 3 interior doors, using masking tape to mark the size first, then cutting with kitchen scissors.I imagine it would be just as easy with larger areas.Very pleased.

Haven’t used it yet watched video of installation look straight forward and will save having to remove 3 pieces of glass and fix toughened glass replacement
