Ward D: A gripping psychological thriller

Another Freida book that you wont be able to put it down . So many twists and turns. You wont figure it out until the very last page and that keeps you thinking.

Fast and easy read! Had me on the edge of my seat. My first thriller and I loved it! Leaves you stunned till the very end. Would definitely reread in the future. Highly recommend!!

After reading The Housemaid series, I felt books 2 and 3 were a bit too predictable for me. Ward D, however, completely brought the thrill back! The story follows a medical student working an overnight rotation in a locked psychiatric unit. Because Freida McFadden is a real physician, the hospital setting and medical details feel incredibly authentic. The narrative brilliantly alternates between the terrifying present-day night shift and flashbacks to eight years ago, exploring the protagonist's relationship with her former best friend, Jade, who is now a patient on that very same ward. The suspense is next-level. Every single chapter made me change my mind about who to suspect. Is the danger real, or is the protagonist hallucinating? It messes with your head so well that it genuinely had me looking over my shoulder in parking garages and public restrooms! Thank you, Freida, for such an addicting, edge-of-your-seat thriller. I’m taking a quick genre break to cleanse my palate, but The Coworker is definitely next on my list. Highly recommend!

Just like the headline says, it was a bit predictable. The repeating of lines became a bit annoying. It seemed like she was going back and forth about the same things over and over in different chapters which frustrated me. Overall I like the storyline but the book could’ve been even shorter without all the repeating.

Some of the details were easily guessed early on but the psychological twists and turns make you not know who is telling the truth. A good read.

Once I started reading had to find out what was going to happen next. Full of mystery, twists and turns with every page. Love her books.

So I don't get a lot of time to read because I'm pretty busy with my job, but this I couldn't put down. I read it like in three days. I don't think I've done that since I was a kid it's amazing.

This is my 7th Freida book and I gave to say that I was never disappointed. Ward d was a page turner! It will keep you guessing the entire book! I couldn’t put it down. I fished it in one day. I gave it 4 stars because even tho the book kept you guessing I was hoping for a bit of a more twistier twist. Overall Frida is the best! She is always a sure thing!

Sou da área da saúde e gosto muito de saúde mental e psiquiatria. Achei o livro extremamente interessante porque me faz relembrar alguns conceitos da área e me prendeu muito!!! Mesmo quando eu achava que tinha entendido o plot twist, fui enganada mais de uma vez haha. O livro é excelente, como todos os outros dela.

Loved it from the first page until the very end. Freida just has a way of telling stories that unfold and have me hooked.

Älskar att köpa böcker från amazon, snabbt enkelt och smidigt. Böckerna kommer fram i bra skick och är oftast några kronor billigare. Själva boken är en klassisk Freida Mc Fadden. Spännande, lättläst och underhållande!
