Big fan!
Fantastic shoes. I bought these only a few days before a camping and hiking trip so I wasn’t sure how they’d do. I wore them around the house for a day and was surprised at how comfy they were. We did about 4-5 miles on a hike and I was pleasantly surprised. They were sturdy and grippy and I felt safe on the wet rocks and slippery spots. My feet hurt at the end of the day but I’m pretty sure it had more to do with a hard hike. I mostly wear sneakers and they weren’t as comfortable as that but great nonetheless. I’m usually a 9 1/2 or 10 and got the 10 to make sure I had enough room with socks and the size was perfect. Plenty of room. I’m thrilled especially for the price and look forward to many more adventures in them.

Comfortable and good quality for the price
Nov.: Just received and look good. Tried them on without socks and good thing got wide size. I have a Morton's toe and need the room. My only concern is when I will wear outside with socks, will it be a problem. Hopefully not but will update after use. Dec. Update: Have upgraded to 5 stars. I'm thrilled - comfortable, sure footed in light snow, and for the price cannot go wrong buying. The wide size is perfect and wear whether thick or thin sock. Was afraid to purchase since my feet are so tender but now a great fan. Look good, feel good and sturdy. Recommend!

Great Bang for one's Buck... Fits True to Size and Super Light Weight.
I'm surprised by the quality of these NORTIV Hiking Boots out of the box. Packaging was great, they arrived earlier than expected, but more than that, no visibly loose threads. Super light weight. Easy to slip on. I'm using these in the tropics at the moment and meant to use them strictly in my family's garden. I wanted to keep my feet safe from the sun and the reflective sunlight that would normally sting (and rocks!). It's great. I don't feel my feet sweating or stinging which is a first. Ever. I purposely walked through puddles. I was amazed that my socks were dry. These breathe/dry amazingly in warm evironments but I have no doubt that they will serve others well in varied environments with the slighest wind. They also dry quick and clean easy should you encounter a deep puddle (3-4") but still not yet fully submerged. It's only been a few days but I've put them through some use and they come out looking new. My feet are not roasting either. In my opinion they can be used for multiple climates, or transitions of climates in a hike. (Warm to cool/ tropical to varied alpine but NOT arctic conditions). They seem to mold with your feet/ foot shape. The supports are more comfortable than I expected. I was expecting to have to break these in. Not at all. The arch supports are not too extreme (again it's labelled as a hiking boot), and I love the ankle support in that it's not a fixed setting, which allows anyone to do as they please with the laces (to put it simply), the padding is not overly thick, the tongue is just right. In the 'toe box' there is just the right enough of space to give support as well without cramping or toe clenching. I felt no slipping either. The soles surprised me. Yesterday I was able to explore my uncle's cavernous property without slipping or skidding. I never dared to do so before. Talk about grip!!! If you need these to assist you with mobility, give them a try. I'm glad I did. These can definitely be used daily in that sense. Note... There has been no foul odor upon drying in the sun, or without it in a sunless area. At this time I've seen no discolorization, staining, or spotting either. However, I do believe a windy/ breezy area may play a vital part. Lastly, and more importantly... if you have a wider foot, order them wide. As someone with thinner feet they feel just right in the tropics. If you have to wear thicker socks, long johns, or thermals; go half a size up.

Nice boots for the price
I ordered these because I needed something quickly for a trip to a snowy area. These boots are very lightweight and comfortable right out of the box. They seem to be nice quality especially for the price. I haven't tested if they are truly waterproof yet. They do seem to run a little small on length. I normally wear a 9 and probably could have worn a 9.5 in these especially if going to wear a thicker sock. Overall I'm very happy with these boots.

Comfortable and sturdy; but when walking, they sound like a candy wrapper
Just got these boots yesterday and I wore them today on a two mile walk. They are very comfortable. I wear an 8 1/2 in women's boots. This is the size I ordered and they fit perfectly. After a straight two mile walk on a dirt road, my feet feel great. They're not achy or tired. I did notice my feet felt really warm during the last quarter mile of my walk, but this could be from an elevated body temperature and wearing cotton socks. I did briefly go off the beaten path leaving the dirt trail for the woods. There were no issue with the terrain. The shoes managed the ground, the leaves, the branches and the bugs just fine. lol I ordered the brown color and they look great on my feet and I like that I can wear them with just about anything. I have to add these boots were purchased expressly for hiking in the back woods. Once the terrain dries out from the recent rains, I will see how these boots hold up after a three mile hike in the woods. On a side note: these boots are noisy. Not sure why? When walking, it sounds like I have a candy wrapper inside the boot. Is this from the material they use to form the tongue of the shoe? Perhaps its the material used to make the boots waterproof? It's most noticeable on the right boot; although the left one is also producing the same sound, but it's not as loud. (See attached video) This is not a deal breaker for me unless these boots don't hold up to rugged terrain. And perhaps the sound will diminish or go away completely after some use? I'm curious to know if anyone else has noticed this same noise when walking in their boots? Even though the noise from the bending of the boot during walking is a little odd, aside from that I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'm hopeful they'll hold up for more aggressive activity in the future.

They Survived Yellowstone!
I am really happy I got these before a trip to Montana and to visit and hike in Yellowstone. I had a long week of hikes and I was so impressed with these shoes. I wore a wool blend hiking sock as well. I did not get any blisters, they were comfortable and because of the shoe grip on the bottom I did not slip or fall. They are really nice looking as well. I also wore them on my flights. I sized up a 1/2 size. I may have been able to size up a full size as one foot is a little larger but I am normally a 9 and the 9-1/2 in the regular width was perfect. I also tried a wide width but I preferred the tighter fit. I am really happy with these hiking shoes. They were my first pair of actual hiking shoes and I love them. Really well made. I have a high arch and it is really hard for me to find athletic type shoes that fit well and I really liked these.

Very comfortable
Extremely comfortable. I have wide feet after foot surgery so I have a hard time with boots being too tight. These came in a wide and were perfect. I am able to wear 2 pairs of socks and still have room. The ankle support was amazing. I had them on for a few hours with no rubbing or discomfort. The grip on the bottom was perfect for climbing up snowy hills and rough terrain. They stated water resistant but as an extra protection I sprayed them.

I love!
My bf and I went to Colorado for the very first time and hiked the Rocky Mountains so we bought these boots. Let me just say I am so so happy with my purchase! I don’t really make reviews, but I felt like these needed a review from me lol. I tried them on a couple days before leaving for our trip and super comfy. I didn’t have to break them in or anything. They were comfy the entire time of my trip, never bothered me, didn’t give me any blisters and I felt soo secure in them! They have amazing grip. It was snowing while hiking, and my feet were super warm, they never felt wet from stepping in puddles. I wore them on different hikes, and different weather and they were comfy and amazing each time. I definitely recommend to anyone trying to find a good and affordable hiking shoe!
