Double Zip Seal, Leak Free Valve and Extra Durable Plastic, FREE Travel Hand Pump Included.: Space Saver Bags - desertcart.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: These bags are big enough to be able to put a superking duvet in without any need to fight to get them inside, if anything the bags have room to spare. They are the usual fairly thick transparent plastic so no complaints and each bag has its own plastic ziplock closer so no need to go hunting for one. The supplied vacuum pump works well and is a nice touch, you could certainly take one of these away if you wanted to keep your suitcase nice and neat although these bags are so big you would have to be careful not to overpack! If you have not used a handpump for deflating one of these bags then I would say it takes quite a while but that is just because they are such a big size and is not a criticism of the pump which fits well to the nozzle (on a screw thread in fact) and is quiet and efficient. We find the best way is to use a vacuum cleaner, although they nozzle doesn't fit over the outlet valve perfectly it works really well and gets the size down in no time. Review: These vacuum storage bags work very well and come with a hand pump which is very useful if your vacuum cleaner nozzle is not a perfect fit for the outlet. Hand pump also is a screw fit to outlet which makes using it very easy. Bags really are enormous though - used one for a double duvet and another for a very large bedspread, but could easily have fitted both items in one bag had I been storing them at the same time. Bags are also made of heavy duty plastic which should be very durable. Rather too large to be useful for travel in my opinion but excellent for home storage of bedding, soft furnishing items etc.

These bags are very big and easy to use (box contains clear instructions). They are great for storing duvets (I have managed to get a king size feather duvet into these bags). I have tried all of the bags, and all but one seem to be fine. One however keeps re-inflating so obviously a leak somewhere. The company had very kindly sent a complimentary bag out with the order ( so the fact one doesn’t work isn’t so bad as they had given an extra bag anyway-just took the shine off their gesture a little). Also had a nice introductory email and follow up email from the company. Haven’t contacted them yet regarding the faulty bag.

I change the household 5 king-size quilts over from winter to summer but struggle like most people with storage space. My husband and I are also looking to purchase a motor-home where we know storage will be very limited. With these two things in mind I was looking for storage bags that were big enough to accommodate the king-size quilts. Postage was quick and the storage bags are neatly packed in the box. There is also a handy travel hand pump and although this may work I decided to use my hoover. The bag folds out with no difficulty putting the quilt into it and its very easy to seal. I would just point out that the zip piece on each bag that creates the seal could come off so I have just popped one into a pot just in case this happens. It takes literally a couple of minutes for the air to be sucked out. I have managed to store all my king-size quilts into a ridiculous small space. Great for home and also looking forward to using in my camper-van!!

When these arrived, I was initially surprised how large they were but once I tried to wrestle a duvet into the sacks, I realised they were fine and needed to be that big. There is one thing I'd share on for others and that is for jumbo large sacks like these (80cm x 110cm) it is best to lay the duvet flat and filling the limits of the sack rather than balling it in one end or rolling too tightly. The reason is that when vacuumed they can still be pretty bulky, or at least they were depth wise for my airing cupboard (which is around 60cm deep), so, I laid the duvets flattish in the sack taking all the space available, then vacuumed about half the air out before gingerly folding them in half length ways, tucked in the bag edges (like a hospital bed sort of neatly tucked in) before vacuuming the rest of the air out whilst gently applying pressure to the package... that way I ended up with a really flat and neat package of about 50-55cm depth that easily fit into the airing cupboard without jamming the doors. Overall I am delighted with these and it amazes me that I'm in my 40's but had never used these before! We had a few spares duvets, pillows, covers and all sorts in the main airing cupboard, jammed in the top of one wardrobe, in bed drawers and that is not even considering the sleeping bags in the loft for camping or kids sleepovers. Now, we have all that stuff in about 1/3 of the space, I have the top of my wardrobe back, the sleeping bags are sealed and dry in the loft but best of all, our spares, pillows, summer / winter (dependent on season) duvets are all packed in the airing cupboard together, with some space still available! I highly recommend this product, fantastic and it is such a simple thing but wow, what a difference. Don't ponder, just buy!
