Brother AIR1800 Air Serger with Jet Air Threading, 2/3/4 Thread, LED Lit Work Area

I love this serger, it's so easy to thread! I'm using it a lot more because it's so easy to change the thread color. I've been reluctant to purchase new machines because I feel like they're always made of plastic, but this one is well-made, fairly heavy and solid. It works like a charm. I definitely want to purchase the thread catcher though. I bought a Brother serger in the early 1990s so it has lasted 30+ years! It is still running perfectly but it's a manual threader so I finally upgraded. I gave the old one to a friend and I hope they get as much use out of it as I did. Love these Brother machines!

Sees and threads like a dream!!!

Unit came pre threaded. So we figure it worked at the factory. But broke sometime after. Very disappointed. Was eager to get started with it. Looks to be well built. There is no way to thread if the air threading breaks. I see that as a weak point. Had to return ☹️ Update, we did buy a 3000 from a local store. We found out there is a tool to thread the machine if the air threading fails. We are very happy with our local source. Paid more but got more.

Air threader stopped working on day 2 had to return it. Very disappointing.

I do a lot of serging. This is a wonderful upgrade from my old Brother 1034D, which was a good machine, but I wore it out. I choose Brother sergers because they have the external switch for disengaging the cutting blade. I found the air-threading to be easy to learn. Good instructions.
