Are they easy to get off without damaging your computer?

No, they are not. And it is not a warning about that. I tried to reposition one, and totally damaged the monitor's screen.

Does this work for curved monitors? Can this be used without sticking to monitor?

The acrylic is straight, it would not adhere properly to a curved monitor. How would it stay on if you didn’t use the sticky? THe whole purpose is adding extra space to the monitor by sticking the acrylic sheets on it.
