The baby loves it, she has already picked it up and carried it around without breaking it. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to open the bottom, but it fits a lot of money in it. Just keep it out of reach from kids who will see it as a toy.

Nicely made. Gave for a 1st. birthday gift, it was well received by Mom who hadn't yet got a "piggy bank" for her daughter. Better than a glass bank. If they don't use it as a bank, it can be safely played with as a toy.
