Exceeds expectations. Crystal clear water
Easy to install and built well. The filter is easy to clean with the filter pads rinsing off well. The UV sanitizer works perfectly and my pond is crystal clear. Previous filters did to seem to handle the job as well as I wanted and this filter has performed above expectations. Prior to installing the unit you could barely see my fish. Now you can see all the way to the bottom of the pond. My pond is about 10 feet by 4 feet across and 30-36" deep depending on where you measure. This size filter handles the needs very well. I noticed a difference in the first 24 hours but after 3 days of running I was very impressed. I have had this unit for 2 summers now and it is working perfectly. I clean the filter pads every two weeks and my pond is perfectly clear. Easy to use, easy to install and great performance. Highly recommend.

The UV bulb works.
Please understand that this pond filter does NOT have its own pump! It has a UV bulb and that is what the power cord is for. It does NOT pump its own water! You need a separate pump for that. Seen some reviews that say it "doesn't work". It doesn't actually DO any WORK. That's by design. It's just a housing for pressurized water and filter media and a UV bulb. If it actually pumped its own water it'd be like 500 dollars, look at the price of an FX aquarium filter for comparison.

PLEASE READ. Great inexpensive filtration system
UPDATE. I had a fitting crack 5 months after I purchased it. Hot Florida sun. I made communication with the seller, sent them pictures and I had a brand new one in several days. No charge. No return. The way businesses should operate. Thank you What a great inexpensive filtration system. To all of the people that left negative reviews because of leaks. Really? Mine leaked when I first plugged it in and I thought oh my gosh what am I going to do now? So it came to me. Tighten it up. Guess what? And to my surprise it stopped leaking . Imagine that. I was using something similar that was home made. This is a really nice set up. I have a 400 gallon Koi pond and am using a 1600 gph pump with a 3 ft waterfall and using a turtle that flows water out of his mouth and a center riser. I am using the one inch tubing. Hope this helps

TERRIFIC PRODUCT
THE FILTER IS A TERRIFIC PRODUCT. WITHIN AN HOUR OR SO OUR 165 GALLON KOI POND WENT FROM CLOUDY TO CRYSTAL CLEAR. OUR PUMP IS RATED AT 1080 GPH AND IT WORKS JUST FINE PUMPING INTO THE FILTER AND THEN OUT OF THE FILTER TO THE WATERFALL BOX. THE PRODUCT APPEARS TO BE EXTREMELY WELL MADE. IT'S RUGGED AND SOLID. WE DID HAVE SOME ISSUE MAKING THE CONNECTIONS BUT FINALLY USED A BIT OF OILIVE OIL TO SLIDE CONNECTERS TOGETHER. HE CLARITY OF THE WATER NOW MAKES US VERY HAPPY ALONG WITH THE FISH. WELL WORTH THE PRICE INVESTMENT!

Shop somewhere else!!
I would put zero stars but thatโs not possible, I bought a 2100 GPH from Amazon resell it arrived would set up noticed a missing parts, but I had some old fitting in my workshop so I made due. Turns out the UV light doesnโt work and the brace around the middle was cracked. A lot of the parts this are made of cheap plastic that Iโm sure weโre not last long. I shouldโve just bought brand new because it was like four dollars more as I just noticedโฆ. Shop elsewhere.!

Awesome filter!!
I didnt think this was going to work but it does. It took it about a week to really clear up and i can see the bottom of my pond now and my fish swimming around. It has done a awesome job. I went from green pea soup to seeing sand at the bottom of the pool. Cleaning it is a breeze. It did have a drip where my water comes out but may have been my hose. A clamp fixed that right up. I highly would recommend this filter. Love it!!

Great filter!
This turned out to be a wonderful filter for our fish pool. We have been using just a simple box filter ever since we bought this house over 12 years ago that was in place from the previous owners. Once my husband and I saw this filtration system we wanted to give it a shot because we were hoping it would keep our fish pool a lot cleaner. It definitely has! It has been a game changer for us!

Easy to install works great easy to clean
Super easy to install and to clean it has a like pump that squares the sponges inside wiout having to take it apart and it cleans with ease and the dirty water goes on a different outlet super easy to clean and world great. I bought this filter as a secondary fokter for my 1200 gallo. Pond so far works great.

Really really good for the price.
I'm not interested in spending the over-the-top money for the more established brands, but my small pond and goldfish need a filter solution. I really like how this filter is put together. It doesn't leak and the connections seem pretty secure. It's survived one freezing winter so far with only partial draining - still doesn't leak. The bypass works, and I can turn the handle and water comes out, but (maybe its my particular setup) I don't notice any gunk coming out. I haven't even plugged the UV in so I cannot comment on that

How to clean sponges without opening
Iโve just installed it and it was relatively easy to do so. I ordered the larger model of this but canโt figure out if it has the ability to clean the sponges without opening the canister like its smaller models do. Has anyone else figured this out?

Great filter with unadvertised feature
We have a 6โx 9โ pond with ~12 fish. The water was very hard to keep clear, especially in warmer weather. We tried all kinds of clarifiers and enzymes with little help. After installing this filter, which is fed by a 600gph pump, it cleared the water within a few days. There was no noticeable drop in water rate to the waterfall after the filter. One thing that is not advertised is that there is a compartment in the bottom of the filter full of bio-balls, so this is both a mechanical and biological filter. It seems well made, and was easy to install. I buried most of it into the ground to keep it out of sight. Very happy.

The best investment of the year
Easy to setup. Works perfectly! My fishpond was clear in a couple of days. I have cleaned the filter once and it was much better than to clean any of the traditional submersible filters. The best investment of the year! The only thing, there is no information in the manual what type of the UV bulb I have to use for the replacement. It looks like bulb should be replaced once per year.
