I ate some and it was very good I mean you're about as good as you're going to get and I bought a lot of these actually and from other other brands also but this brand is very good. So if you're survivalist like me this is a must I have a whole room full of these things.

14lbs but there's a lot of rice in there. And it's not par-boiled, or cooked and freeze-dried... Just plain old cook-it-for-20-minutes rice. There's flavor mixes in there, too... Looking at the listing now I recognize that "chicken-flavor" description... like, chicken bouillon powder, or that stuff that comes in Ramen. Note that the 2 packs of each mix are quite large in portion and will be difficult to use only partially because it's one pouch of for example rice and chicken bouillon all in one place, so you really can't use half of each; have to cook the whole pouch and it's enough food to easily feed 5-6 people ("16 servings")... and the leftovers become rice-leftovers which require their own sort of applications to make them taste any good during following days. Anyway, the plastic pail is good and sturdy and the powdered stuff will be good for supplementing regular cooking, when I'm lacking a little something either ingredients or inspiration. And, of course, if things get bad enough that I'm really quite hungry, then anything "chicken-flavor" will be perfectly tasty. But you'll need a good supply of water, and you DO have to cook this stuff. You canNOT "Just Add Water. That is a blatant lie.

I haven't eaten but the packages are sealed in an easy to use bucket with a great storage capacity. Nothing was broken and it looks like the ingredients are a decent quality. The product is expensive, but so is survival.
