A work of art
I first saw one of these decanters in a shop window, and have wanted to own one for ages. I finally bit the bullet and ordered it, and nervously awaited the delivery.Not disappointed at all: this is not just a decanter, it is a work of art, each one individually blown. It looks good sat on a table, but pour a bottle of red wine into it, and it takes on a whole different life. It looks wonderful, and aerates the wine beautifully. Pours like a dream.Final word: I was scared witless about ordering such an expensive piece of glass to be delivered. Silly me, it was so well packaged it defied belief. Well done to the shippers!

A terrific decanter
This is a brilliant decanter. The reader can decide whether it looks good - obviously I do - but the design is also a triumph of ergonomics. (1) When it is being filled, the wine crosses from the outer surface to the inside of the bend and then part way up the spout before showering back into the base, giving rapid aeration. (2) A 75cl bottle fills it to just below the bend, giving maximum surface area. (3) It will however hold a magnum. (4) In which case, though quite full, it will pour from the neck without spilling out of the filling tube. (5) It pours in a narrow stream which travels gracefully to the glass, a nice party trick ( a bit like Malaysian teh tarik, 'pulled tea'). (6) When pouring, it feels perfectly balanced in the hand.Wine is a complex sensory experience, it's not just about the flavour, and a product like this puts everyone in the right frame of mind for tasting the wine. Highly recommended, though wait for a price offer if you can.

This is a Beautiful decanter that pours well too. A real talking point. Expensive, but good wine is worth it.

I bought this as a wedding gift, it's a beautiful piece however stamped on every side of the box in bold is " not for resale - sample - brilliant thanks so much - so embarrassing!!!!!!!
