Milton 1072-2 1/2" Jumbo Desiccant Dryer System

Bought this to help with the moisture problem from my scroll compressor in my shop for my plasma table/cutter and paint shop for my sand blaster and powder coating. It was an easy install the setup is nicely made and is pretty stought works perfectly and my air is dry dry dry now!!

This product is much higher capacity than the normal commodity solutions out there. Very competitive pricing versus similar "near commercial" (my term) alternatives. Just keep in mind that "real" commercial units are much larger and cost big money. Overall, this is a nice package. The only downside is the dovetail connectors between the filters. The dovetails allow easy removal of a specific filter for maintenance. Or in our case, removal because there were no tapped holes with which to mount this thing. We took the filters off to make tapping easier. The dovetail connections are prone to leaking on reassembly - one can easily pinch and damage the O-ring seals. The unit had a leak after we reassembled. I ordered size 021 O-rings from Amazon. We replaced 4 more O-rings before we got a good seal. luckily we bought the 50 pack. Unit is no longer leaking and seems to work well. Will update if anything changes.

I wish I didn't buy this. Choked down even with the regulator open all the way. I have a 60gal maxair from woods inc.

Although it would have been nice to have included a bracket to mount this system, it's heavy, solid and appears to be very well made. Once it was all (properly) mounted and integrated into my air system, there was not a trace of air leaking anywhere. I'd surmise that others who have had this issue probably installed it poorly. As to how it actually functions as a filter/dryer, time will tell. Pretty quality system as far as I can tell. Found it on Amazon cheaper than anywhere else and it arrived in 48 hours.
