Apple Watch Ultra [GPS + Cellular 49mm] Titanium Case with Yellow Ocean Band, One Size (Renewed)

Ok this Apple Watch Ultra - Renewed was delivered about 48 hours after I ordered it. So after using this for 2 days I consider this an above-average purchase…so far.The watch itself was unblemished and unscratched, and blanked just like a new watch would be. The battery was DEAD so I put it on charge, and left it on charge for a full 24 hours before even attempting to connect it. After the 24 hour charge it was 83% charged. Pairing, connecting to iPhone and cellular were pretty straightforward and successful. I then charged it to 100% and updated to watchOS 11.4 before using it.Yes, it comes with an aftermarket charger but it works. Yes, it comes with an aftermarket ocean watchband, but I was surprised how comfortable the ocean band felt, so I’m good there. Small sacrifices for saving about $200 off the cost of a new Ultra or Ultra 2.Battery Health was listed as 78%. Would I have liked it higher? Of course, but then again, saved $200 yada yada.Pretty good deal in my opinion if you’re on a budget. In my case I got a better watch for about the same price as a new Series 10.

I was very skeptical about buying this watch, since you never know if it will be true. I got my watch today and it looks brand new. No scratches, no dents, nothing. Pairing it was easy. I know everyone worries about the battery and when I got mine it was at 93%. Highly recommend.

It was time to buy an Apple Watch. The Ultra seemed to have all the features and *in my mind* the smaller "regular" models were a compromise of sorts. But the new Ultra II watches are VERY expensive. Not in my budget and in my mind not a good value. But I think I found the value I needed.I researched Ultra I vs Ultra II (and the Series 10) watches and decided that while the Ultra II has more features and a "faster processor", these weren't things that I *needed*. It came with features that are not automtically included with the Series 10 watches such as titanium frame. An extra control button, and a few minor other things.It appeared that the "renewed" watches seemed to have a good track record and one came along with a band that I liked and I jumped on it.I like this watch. Big learning curve, but I'm settling in. The unit I received seems to be in perfect condition, with a plastic protector over the face. No scratches or any marks that I can see. The one thing that surprised me, but just a little, is that it came in a crappy generic box. Nothing like how Apple packages their products. But I won't be wearing the box, so who cares. It also came with a little charging disk/cord that looks like an EKG sensor. The charging thing works, but I bought an inexpensive night stand charger which I like.One of the ingenious things about the Apple Watch is their approach to watch bands. I like the one that came with it, but to change a band is easy and takes only seconds. I ordered 3 more bands, but just sent back on. So many to choose from. The bands change the whole character of the watch, and I can set matching watch faces. So much fun to be able to take one watch and inexpensively give it so many looks.I reserve 5 star rating for only outstanding products. I give this 4.5 stars, because the cheap packaging ruined the overall gestalt of receiving a watch that costs this much money.

I really wanted to give it 4 stars because of the garbage charger that it comes with and cuz it takes forever to turn on because it’s completely dead and also need quite some time to get it updated along with my iPhone to the latest firmware. But after all of that crazy crap and with the help of my series 7 charger, once everything was setup (took me about 2-4 hours I lost track) and it works properly, this refirb Apple Watch Ultra 1 is a fantastic, reliable and still very timeless. Everything still works, it’s still very quick and snappy and mine came with 100% on its battery health which is great and pretty hard to find. I was skeptical about buying it but thankfully all the other reviews are spot on, just remember to get a screen protector (or a case if you want) and an authentic Apple charger with the USB-C pin for the best/fastest charging speed.

I usually don’t purchased refurbished phones or watches only because you don’t know the outcome with used items but I must say that this watch looks perfectly new. It’s not heavy @ all and I love that it’s much easier to text than on my smaller watch. I’m still learning the features on the Ultra2. I love how it feels around my wrist and fits great. I don’t know all the features yet I’m still exploring but so far I have no complaints.

I was surprised by the battery health and watch condition. I did not expect to be that new. You can expect some minor scratches on this watch not a huge or major damage but visible( you need to watch it pretty close to see it).

I purchased a Renewed Ultra with condition listed as ‘New’ under the assumption that it was going to be a halfway decent product so as not to run with my expectations too high. What I received was better in some ways and worse in others. One of the mains reasons I wanted to try an Apple Ultra watch is that I was tired of my SE always needing to be charged every day and seemingly takes scratches like a glass house. But I wasn’t necessarily looking forward to paying for a new Ultra 2 knowing that there isn’t a huge difference in battery life between the two. When I received this watch I was fine with the handful of minor nick’s and scratches that could barely be seen from a regular distance. The screen works and looks great and I’m still not sure if the crown is a little worn or it’s simply like this on the Ultras, but compression action feels odd compared to my SE. Everything else seems to work fine. But then I discovered that the battery life was measuring at 90%. So, now I’m unsure if I want to live with it or return it and shell out almost twice the cost for a new model. I’ll give it a few more hours of wear and see.
