Nice tool for changing fishing lines

Worked well
The KastKing KutR™ Fishing Line Spooler & Line Gobbler came with instructions with illustrations. They were almost perfect. Could have used another illustration on some of the steps zooming in on the item, to clarify the instruction. But it's a cool tool! I used the spooling pieces, and it worked well.

Made re-spooling quick and easy
Used this over the weekend. Changed the line on 8 of my rods and was done in 10 minutes. Took me a couple minutes to find the best place to mount it on my rod but once the spool is on it’s super quick and easy. The built in line cutter was also a nice little addition. Super light weight and fits right in my tackle bag.

So Far, So Good
Took a bit of practice, but was able to respool two spinning reels and one spincast reel. Line twist was minimal.

Sub-standard Plastic Construction
The plastic construction is thin and fragile. The black plastic screw that holds the line spool does not really thread through rod-spool holder as described in instructions. Value for price is marginal. The plastic snap detention at top of the rod holder appears to be weak too and prone to break off. Time will tell. I do not see how this product is rated over 4 stars.

Simple and easy to use!
To let you know ahead of time, I LOVE the KastKing brand. I had the line spooler part of this combo before and even the more advanced one that has a line counter on it but was really intrigued about this little DE-Spooler now or what they are calling a "gobbler". Warning that I think might be common sense but will put it out there, use this spooling item very slowly with your drill. If you have any tucks or things that go wrong where the line might catch, it could pull the reel right away and fling it. It did not happen to me at all but was taking it very cautious when I unwound my reel to reload some new Hammer Braid on it getting ready for the new bass season. Overall this little contraption really saves time and just is so easy to use that I have spooled a reel at a derby event for some kids. Can be used with mono or braid but you just have to make sure the spool will fit on it. Just keep in mind when you use it to make sure you use the line tensioners and the line will go on with the right amount of tension for you. Great little gadget that you can keep in your tackle box!

Does its job
Works OK to wind on new line. After you think through the assembly the device does what it's supposed to. I am not sure how to do it differently but the bands for tension on your spool of new line work but I am not sure how long they will last if used a lot. Overall, for the $$ not bad
