I must say I have become a big fan of Ruddings Wood. I got some really nice and well designed plant supports from them at a very reasonable price. Then I looked at their planters as I wanted 9 or 10 to go round the back of the house for strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and lavender and other cooking herbs. They did them in a matt black paint which perfectly matches the timber colour on the house. They are very robustly built. The price is good. But one of the things I most love about them is that all their products come ready made or with just one or two things to attach. This is a good business strategy. I come from a generation when garden arches were forged as one and planters were ready made and so getting a 180cm plant climber which comes in 25 pieces with screws and instructions just depresses you. Well done Ruddings for recognising the substantial 'fully assembled' market in the UK.

They are great in terms of size and style, the material quality looks to be good too. Unfortunately they were put together by the apprentice and the QC manager his no pride in his job or his company and no respect for his customers.The nails sticking out at the bottom of the planters are inconvenient but the ones at the top are down right dangerous!! Also the nails are inserted at the wrong angle - they point upward rather than downward - as such any internal force (from compost, water, plants, etc) works with the nails to split the planters.As mentioned by others, be careful when moving the black paint comes off - my hand after lifting the two units out of the boxes.It’s a shame, a little attention to detail and these would be 1st class.

Delivery much quicker than expected, even better considering im in an area of scotland that tends to get a delivery surcharge. Colour doesnt quite match what is in the picture but not a big deal
