My wife's Asus laptop had such a dead battery that it would immediately shut down if not plugged in. Now she can get a whole school day's use from her laptop, which I guess is around 6 hrs of use.Fortunately, there was this replacement, because the OEM battery was in such bad shape that one side of it had swelled considerably. It might have broken open in time.This was not difficult to install. Youtube videos make it easier. Few comments:- screws are not all the same size. Draw an outline of the battery on a piece of paper, and label the screw sizes on the paper as you remove them, e.g. SS = super small, S = Small, M = medium, B = black, etc. Two of the feet contain a screw each under the rubber pads Two others don't. Watch the video.- You do not need to unplug the antenna cables from the wireless adapter. You can remove the wireless adapter. I can't actually recall if I removed it or just moved the antenna wires from their slots and worked around them.- There is a metal clip which holds the battery cable in place. No video seems to show very well what needs to happen, and I think it is the trickiest part. The metal clip -slides- backwards away from the cable, and then the cable connector lifts -vertically- off the header on the board. The header doesn't have pins. It has blades. It is unlike any connector I've seen, and I've seen many. This is NOT like the M.2 header for SSDs.If you are comfortable taking the back off a laptop and doing thing like cleaning the fan, upgrading memory or SSD, etc, you can definitely do this.5 stars because someone was willing to make a replacement for this crazy battery, and it works.
