The blade on the knife I received is impossible to deploy with one hand, even after oiling it. How can I loosen it so the flipper works?

Mine got easier to flip open the more I did it. Opened it by pulling the flipper with index finger and at the same time flicked my wrist in the same direction/motion of the blade, along with gravity's help. Recently, I got it wet in sea water which made it hard to open with one hand, but rinsing it with clean water reverted it back to the way it was.

Has anyone compare the "evo titanium-coated fine edge knife" with the "evo jr. fine edge knife" for the length of the blade? which one is smaller?

Yeah with a little flick of the wrist. As far as the thumb stud on the side goes don't bother trying to open it with that.
