This is a DVD player/ Karaoke machine with 5 speakers. There is no way to have your TV or Video Game System play through it, unless you buy microphone jacks attached to an HDMI cable or RCA jacks but make sure to shut down the echo before playing anything through it. The back speaker wires are only 8ft long, so be sure to buy the extra wire suggested and it only comes with 2 audio jacks when it needs 3 to work. It also has a factory reset button on the bottom right corner of the remote, so you may need a universal remote if you plan to use it in the dark, so you don't reset everything by accident. Make sure you take video when you start it up and send it back if the tray opens and closes immediately or it will cost you $80 more to get it fixed under warranty as the technical support team is not very knowledgeable and need to contact the maker to help you. I also suggest calling instead of sending emails, as it took several emails before they understood what I was asking about. Mine is only playing through 2 speakers, which makes it a glorified paperweight as the speaker quality is worse than my TV. It also requires 2 plugs and that line at the top of the subwoofer is a huge blue light which distracts from the supposed theater experience anyway. Maybe good for a kid's room or small theater space if you only have DVD's or digital media.

I’m going to return it because it doesn’t work

Poor packaging and No cables or instructions. The first package looks inviting but hoping the box I find the only piece of paper on top. Then removed the paper to see that the DVD/receiver was not secure, then lifted the DVD player out to find the speakers and 2 batteries. Then also on the back of the DVD/receiver there was no Audio input plug. Plus no S video cable. What of waste of time and energy trying to find cords around town for this equipment. Unable to hook up anything because of the missing cables. So didn't hear the sound quality or get to see how the remote worked, it wasn't' there. A MANUAL WOULD OF BEEN NICE TOO.

I put this in my camper, but even turned up all the way, can barely hear it when the air conditioner cycles on.
