I've had this soldering iron for about 8 years and I got it from maplins. I bought 3 replacement tips at the time and have never had to change it as it has been well looked after. I couldn't find my original tips one day and needed to do a job, so I bought these as a replacement until I could find my originals. Having used one of the tips twice it's heat transfer is very poor. The silver coating has come off the tip after less than an hour's use and it's now useless. Halfway through the job I found my originals and replaced this rubbish and the difference is like night and day. Very disappointed as my original tip has lasted all this time and these seem to be really poor quality. Just a shame Maplin isn't still around to get some more proper ones. Consigliato per stazione saldatura ,co trollate bene il diametro esterno della penna saldante, tolleranza +/- 2 decimi.Buon uso delle punte.

Premetto che le avevo già comprate in precedenza e le ho riprese non perché si siano rovinate, ma perché ho la necessità di limarle per ottenere forme particolari e una maggiore sottigliezza.Le punte sono fatte in una lega non bene identificata (l'estremità è attratta dalla calamita, il resto no) e limando l'estremità della punta si intravede un colore simile al rame, per cui probabile che all'interno ci sia un'anima in rame per una migliore propagazione del calore.Se non si graffia la parte nickelata all'estremità sono quasi eterne, ma se si deve limarle come me per ottenere una punta fina come uno spillo, allora si consumano rapidamente. La punta è nickelata ed il resto è ricoperto da una vernice protettiva bianca che però si scurisce col tempo (sembra simile alla cementite).Al prezzo di una se ne prendono quattro di tipi diversi e, gradevole sorpresa, mentre sonnecchiavano nel carrello il prezzo si è quasi dimezzato e quindi ne ho prese due :)Quindi che dire... Buone, economiche e durevoli (se non le limate), da non perdere :)
