Did a good job sealing the pipe from my wood burner.

Arrived early and was a brilliant product, and fairly priced.

I was a little suspicious that a product at such a low price would be any good. I was wrong. This fire cement is great. It has stayed blacker than the one my chimney sweep uses and hasn't cracked at all. I did make sure I prepared and cleaned the fire and flue well first but I didn't make too much effort to really get a perfect finish, yet it looks pretty good! It is a little coarser than cements I have used before but I am sure you could get a really smooth neat finish if you need it. Job done quickly and effectively at minimal cost and plenty left for future jobs. Fast efficiant delivery too.

I needed this fire cement to reseal my daughters cast iron fire surround. The surround had come away from the wall a little and was leaking from the indside, after cleaning the affected area and using a wet sponge to moisten the area I applied the cement as instructed on the tub. It did a perfect job of making a smoke proof seal and once a fire had been set the cement cured to make a permanent fix. This did exactly what I needed and was good value, the instructions are easy to follow, I noticed that the tub had been shrink wrapped to avoid any mishaps during shipping, a nice touch.

Although it’s very gooey and application is a bit difficult, it is by far the best fire cement I have used. Used this around my fireplace after having to replace “professional work” and it was amazing.

This is brilliant stuff for filling in gaps in open fire. It may feel a bit dry at first but you can spare area with water and then spray the top layer also to get a smooth finish. It dries a charcoal colour so you can spray black using a stove paint if you prefer. Easy to use and feels sturdy.

Good product, easy to use, black colour looks good with black flue. Only 4 stars because I have had to replace the cement a little more often than I would hope as it has cracked. This may be because we live in an exposed area and our chimney flue may be subject to more wind and therefore movement than the average flue.
