Could the accessories bag be used as a bag for liquids in a carry-on?

I believe the carry on requirement is a clear bag

What is the purpose of these?

I find the following purposes to use these packing cubes: 1. They allow me to keep my suitcase organized and pack more into it. 2. If I am traveling by car with several overnight stops before I reach my destination I pack one for each night so I do t have to haul my whole suitcase into the hotel. I just take in the toiletries and a cube of clothes. 3. As I travel I use one for dirty clothes. 4. If I go on an overnight trip I take one cube as an overnight bag.

I washed this set of cubes after receiving it. It is waterproof, and there is no color bleeding after washing.
