Don't even try a non-fiber cable if...
You would guess that 20ft is not long enough for you to have to go the expensive route of an optical cable. But in my experience that unfortunately is not true as soon as you combine three things;- 18 Gbps (HDMI 2.0) video resolutions such as 4k@60Hz with HDR (Best streaming service quality or BD UHD)- an unknown bad video source. Such as some PC HDMI interface.- an unknown bad video receiver. Such as whatever AVR you might put in front of a projector.I tried arm-thick non-fiber 25ft cables (couldn't find a 20ft one), and it did not work well. picture was grizzly. I tried another more expensive ($25) cable and it wasn't any better. For the fun of it, i tried an ultra-thin cable that also promised 18Gbps HDMI 2.0. Laughable. No video at all with 18Gbps video signal.Aka: if you want to play around and know exactly what resolution you need and with exactly which source/receiver. You may try copper And save $40. For all else:Go fiber! Now, if amazon's search wouldn't have made me go back to use google to search on Amazon to find this 20ft cable that even allows me to upgrade to higher than 18Gbps resolutions later at this price...Anyhow. Can't beat fiber connections at this length or longer. Price ? Suck it up. Unless you like CRT like grizzly pictures at high resolutions.

Bought 3, used 2, 1 broke
I needed two of them and bought 3 just to be safe. Turns out I was right. One of them stopped working after about 2 years. I think the defect rate is a bit too high. But when it's working, it works pretty well.

What I've dreamed of!
I've been waiting for almost 10 years to be able to have something like this! I'm an avid PC gamer and dreamed of having ONE pc in the basement or office but being able to play off of it in several rooms. Why spend $2k on another gaming PC just to be able to relax in the rest of my house? I don't like feeling like I'm living out of a single room on the nights I relax to play something with friends. This solved my issue. 120hz, 4k HDR. Man what a world we live in now :)

Cabke never worked
Cable didn't work at all. There seem to be some sort of recognition that the cable is connected but no audio/video being projected from the connected device. Very disappointed.

Works great@ 4k 120hz
I had to move my PC setup to the other side of my bedroom and still wanted to be able to play on my 4k TV (it was originally right next to it). I did some research and was super hesitant about signal loss at 35 ft. This product popped up and was nearly half the price of the other certified options, so I gave it a shot. I can happily say after a few months I have had zero issues and it does exactly what is advertised.

Works!
I bought this to connect TV to AVR which was 30 feet away in a closet. HDMI extender was not supporting earc but this seems to be working just fine, happy with the purchase so far. I have the certified 35 foot cable, would be hesitant to try it at longer distance however.
