Iuse my Rok and love it it. Getting the right pressure for long crema-ey pull is totally achievable with the standard portafilter. Try using a finer grind and tamping a very thin puck before filling as normal and tamping quite hard, I have a few presses on yt under the channel 'brendopecoffe' check them out.

Anyone use pre ground coffee with this, such as la vazza?

Hi - We use the Lavazza Espresso ground coffee. The water filters through at a normal rate as opposed to coarser ground coffee, which starts to drip immediately after adding water. By using Espresso ground coffee you get more intense flavour instead of a watered down imitation which marginally resembles coffee.
