Were you there in 1974? I was
This is a fabulously well mixed and engineered recording of the first live performance of DSOTM. I know, I was there that night. How wonderful, now an old geezer, I can enjoy this again.

Should’ve been released on record years ago.
This live concert; taped on 16/11/74; is very well known to fans of Pink Floyd and I believe it did exist as a bootleg; titled Brain Damage at one time. In fact; I do remember the gig being broadcast on the Friday Rock Show around 1988-89, so have heard it already; albeit only once until now. Speak To Me begins with a lengthy and quiet intro and is longer than the more famous studio version on DSOTM; all complete with that familiar sound of the heart beating, but much deeper in the bass department. The version of On the Run is better than the studio recording and the sound effects on this, and indeed the rest of this live CD, really stand out loud and clear. The two female backing singers made a good job of replicating Clare Torry’s dramatic vocal performance on Great Gig in the Sky with such emotive power that can bring out goose bumps on the skin of any fan of the world’s most premier prog rock group. Any Colour You Like was stretched to a long 8 minutes; but the gig comes to an end with the sounds of a clock striking the hour as the crowd cheer and clap away. The sound quality is superb and Floyd fans have waited for many years for this concert to be released officially in the UK for the 1st time; and believe me, has it been worth the wait.
