Excellent solution to extremely dry mouth at night
I take a medication that leaves me almost choking in the middle of the night due to severe lack of saliva. I used to wake up in a panic, not anymore. I use these Xylimelts every night, and I’m thrilled with them. I have never had a problem with them sticking. They adhere quickly to my gums and stay there for hours. Having these has made nighttime sleep so much better. I have tried every flavor and I like them all. I especially enjoy the light cinnamon flavor, it’s not too strong, just a hint of cinnamon flavor. I buy them in the 100 pack bottle for home, and in the smaller pack for travel. I will never be without them ever again. Add on top of that the fact that xylitol is proven to prevent tooth decay, they are a staple in my nightstand. I highly recommend these Xylimelts every night!!!!

70/30 want to like them.
These are ok. I bought some different flavors. The problem I seem to have is not getting them to stick at first.I often have to find a place to hold it. After about 2 or 3 tries, it will stick.Maybe I just have an awkward mouth.

relief
Purchased the "lightly sweet", "Cinnamon", and "Berry slushy"I had earlier purchased the Lightly Sweet ones and they worked pretty good. Definitely kept the saliva going and taste was not too bad. So I ordered another one. Did not order the Mint as I am just about minted out trying to keep my mouth moist, sugar free of course.Cinnimon: I really like cinnamon but these are pretty bland. Not real strong, definitely do not burn you mouth. Leaves kind of a thicker consistency than the Lightly Sweet.Berry Slushy: Not bad either. Not real strong. It too leaves a thicker consistency like the Cinnamon. So I am sticking with the Lightly Sweet. And they are just that, lightly sweet. Causes saliva to flow and keep mouth moist. In other word, they work pretty good, I just have my preferences.

Dry mouth
I have sleep apnea and sleeping with my mouth open causes severe dry mouth. Sometimes I take medicine to help me fall asleep and that makes the dry mouth even worse! I didn't read the directions at first and the difference is night and day so I don't bother putting one on each side.Sometimes I have a hard time getting them to stick if I don't feel like holding them there in the same spot for a few seconds. Definitely don't drink anything immediately after putting it in your mouth. If I'm having a midnight snack, I take it out and then pop it back in. It does leave a bit of remnants in the morning but it doesn't bother me at all. I love the cinnamon flavor, I haven't tried mint.

My Holy Grail
No other product has been as big a help to me since I developed a chronic sinus condition. The resulting dry mouth damaged my teeth and these have significantly stalled further erosion, plus made my sleep orders more comfortable. I only wish I knew about them sooner! The melt adheres firmly and I've never had an issue with it shifting. It takes getting used to the sensation of it in your mouth, but now I barely notice it. One on the upper gum is sufficient for me, but you can double up if needed (you will drool though). Cinnamon is my preferred flavor; experiment with which you like the best/dislike the least, because you will be tasting the residue in the morning. If you're only just starting to develop dry mouth for whatever reason, my recommendation is to not sleep on these.

The cinnamon were awful
I could not tolerate the cinnamon ones I normally like cinnamon but something weird with this. Almost burning sensation where I put it. But not able to return or replace. So I am out the money. !!!!!!

The XyliMelts… melt
I was encouraged to purchase these by my dental hygienist for severe dry mouth. After 20+ years on opioid treatment for chronic pain, I learned that an additional side effect is severe dry mouth (like opioids needed another side effect!). I was therefore encouraged to get these and adhere one to the inside of my mouth before going to bed. While these “adhering disks” do work— just having them in your mouth encourages saliva production— I had a couple of issues with them. One is personal, in that I can always taste (and dislike) the artificial sweetener. I know that the company says that Xylitol is a natural sweetener, but it has never tasted natural to me.A bigger issue for anyone using these at night is that, as their name implies, XyliMelts do indeed melt. When I would wake up in the morning, I wouldn’t have dry mouth. I would, however, have a mouth full of xylitol-sludge. The disk, combined with the saliva I was now producing, would have softened while I slept, and become a thick, soft, unpleasant mass.So yes, it worked, and I continued salivating all night. But I’m sorry, dental hygienist, but no. I will not sleep with one ever again.
