I've wanted a molcajete for years and years. Most of the ones available to me were too tiny to get anything done. This is a heavy-duty workhorse. I was a bit concerned by the sharp edges on the feet but they provide a rubberized mat to set it on that keeps it from slipping and keeps it from scratching the surface of whatever it's on. It works well and I made my first authentic guacamole with fantastic results. Great price point too. Highly recommend.

Perfect size and weight, looks good on my counter. I use it for whole spices mostly, better flavor if you grind them yourself. The vertical cuts on the inside really help, and it comes with a nice rubber pad to set it on.

I love serving my homemade guacamole in this. It's not only functional, but in my opinion, it's beautiful and I leave it on my counter when not in use. The first thing I did when I got this is grind raw white rice in it to remove any residue grit. I only rinse it with water, never soap. Sometimes I'll use white vinegar to clean it, then rinse with water.

Smaller than expected

The media could not be loaded. I used it to make guacamole. I like that it is wide enough and one avocado can easily be smooshed in it. I use it all the time to grind my spices. It is quite heavy and I can feel the roughness of the granite, it is Not polished. I like that it comes with the rubber mat; it absorbs the shock during grinding. The size is exactly what I wanted. And couldn't be happier.
