Good layer or light vest, good price
Needed to replace a fleece vest I gave away to someone that needed layered warmth on the spot. Chose this one. It's a good fleece vest for its cost. I'll use as light wait warmth or in layer for other warm dressing. Strikes good balance for both uses = warm enough, not too bulky. The fit is good. I got x-large as tall and big. Only small negative is I have a beard and it catches some in the zipper of collar if zipped loosely up but not tight. A flap inside collar covering upper zipper now appearing in higher end outdoor garments, solves this, absent here. I like the dark red color of what I selected. That's a bit unusual in this type of vest.

Well-fitting Vest
I found many things to like about this Amazon Essentials Vest. The most important for me is the “fit”. I am 5’-11”, 165 lbs, on the slim side and the Medium fit me perfectly. It is snug, but not tight. The arm opening is just right and does not bind under the armpit, nor is it too loose and floppy. The shoulder width is also well-proportioned. Length is good, not too long. Seams are well-sewn, zippers work smoothly, side pockets are in the right place for you to put your hands in comfortably and are deep enough; a plus are the two inner pockets. The collar stands up or lays flat (and stays there) ,however you like. The only thing I didn’t like is the color I chose: the gray heather makes the vest look a bit dirty and ready for the wash. Speaking of which, I washed mine before wearing, and it did not shrink (cold water, very low dryer heat). The design is basic, not overly stylish, but I bought mine just to wear around the house. The material is on the thin side, but I didn’t want something too thick, heavy and stiff feeling. It has a nice plush feel, both inside and out, including the zippered pockets and is plenty warm enough for my purpose. I am glad I bought it!

Perfect vest for cooler days!
I needed to replace my old fleece vest to wear around the house on cooler days. This was a true fit and very comfortable. Good quality and fit just as well as the more expensive vets I had looked at recently at the different stores. Great to wear over a shirt when heading out for some errands. I would definitely buy again.

Perfect fleece.
Very nice green color. Fleece is just right for warmth level I was looking for, something to keep core warm under jacket without too much bulk. Fit is perfect. Appreciate that there aren’t any brand labels on it.

Average vest
Decent fleece vest for the price. I've had better-- thicker, and better quality. As well, most vests today have a breast pocket. This one does not.

Just what I was looking for
This thing is very comfortable, soft, and flexible, but definitely not for very cold weather, unless you're using it as an extra layer under a jacket. However, it is perfect for cool weather and for around the house in the winter, which is exactly what I wanted. The sizing runs a bit small. I normally take a size large jacket, but I had to get this in the extra large size to fit. Fortunately, that's the size that Amazon recommended to me, so I ended up with the correct size the first time. Assuming that it holds up over time, it's well worth the price. I'm very happy with it.

True to size, medium fits 38 to 40 inch chest, good quality and price, thin but warm, will buy another colour, highly recommended
