Perfect checking water filter performance
After a month’s use monitoring drinking water, I've found it accurate and consistent. The unit delivered came with batteries and a carrying case included. Also included was a note from the suppliers asking me to get in touch if I noticed any errors - nice touch. Some reviewers have noted continuing varying read outs. I've noticed something similar when used with hot water but didn't find this a problem as it was mostly used with room temp water. In my opinion, it's accurate to within plus/minus 2%. This is based on ongoing readings given on municipal water, distilled water and stored samples. Granted, these aren't 'standard' samples but over time these samples confirmed the unit's accuracy and repeatability, in my opinion.I bought it to use as a quick check on my Brita water filter's performance and this it did admirably.

Happy with it so far.
So far the HM Digital TDS 3 seems to work fine. Only used it once so only 4 stars as I have not had enough time to determine its accuracy, perhaps 5 stars is deserved. It's easy to use one read and so far I have no issues with it.

Good price, works well.
This appears to be well made. It gives consistent results. I am using it to check the output from my tap water filtration unit, also the TDS in my fish tanks and pond.

Save your houseplants, probably has other uses too
I've a collection of house plants and many of which prefer rainwater due to all the minerals in our tapwater, I also feared that the flat roof feeding the waterbutt would also have too many contaminants. Was going to give lower marks for accuracy seeing I'm unable to test this currently but, this product can be calibrated should I feel it's needed. Saved me having to buy a reverse osmosis water filtration kit too!

Failed
Worked well for 13 months and the one I received appears to be a genuine product, unlike many for sale on other sites. Then suddenly packed up, despite only being used infrequently and always used carefully and dried before putting away. Batteries were aok and tried replacing to be certain. Now just another piece of WEEE waste and need to find a replacement that will last.

Seems to be well made, but only lasted for two uses
When I looked for a TDS type meter I soon became aware that this model and manufacturer seemed to be well regarded. Perhaps more so when you realise the cost and claimed accuracy of the unit. The unit itself felt strong and well made, with a nice leather type of case to store it in.The digital read out screen seemed clear and easy to read, the hold function to lock a reading for you to read is most useful. However I only used the unit on two occasions and then it would no longer power on.I used it as described in the paper instructions that came with the unit. The first time that I used it I was pleased that it measured 0 ppm in the distilled water that I had bought, our tap water being around 35 ppm.The second time that I used it was to measure the colloidal silver that I made. It measured at 14 ppm. All seemed well until I tried to power it on for a third time and nothing would display on the screen. Following the instructions I checked and tried new batteries, but that made no difference. The unit was less than a month old and worked only twice. It was used in accordance with their instructions.Whilst I appreciate that these things can happen Amazon do make it easy to return the faulty product for a refund and that is what I have done.I have decided to replace this one with their AP-1 model. Hopefully that will prove to be more reliable.I hope that this review has helped you.
