DOESN'T CHARGE AT DASH SPEEDS - BEWARE!
this is my second "dash charger". I purchased one directly from OnePlus, and then I just recently purchased this one on Amazon. The one that I purchased from OnePlus directly is perfect. It charges just as fast as the OnePlus Dash wall charger. I've used it in my car for about 6 months, and never had an issue. It's great.When I saw this one, and the price, and the Prime Shipping, I went for it. But, I'm very disappointed. First off, when I attach my phone, nothing happens. In order to get any response, I have to attach my phone, then pull the charger out, then plug it back in. It indicates normal charging for the first 15 seconds or so...then, it will flip over and say "Dash Charging" along with the dash charging icon. BUT, I have to say, this dash charging is nowhere near the speed of my "real" dash chargers. If Normal Charging is 1x, and "real" Dash Charging is around 4x, I would say that this device, in "dash charging mode" is about 1.2x. Maybe a BIT faster than normal charging, but NO WHERE NEAR real Dash Charging. Do yourself a favor, spend a few more dollars and get the real deal from OnePlus. I wish I had....

Does not function
This will not give a charge, as others have stated it will begin to charge as a standard switch to DASH charge then stop.Other then it not working it does look good and tells you the amperage that is used while a device is connected. But for the main thing this is supposed to do is charge it fails

Exactly what I've been waiting for
Works as described. Phone recognizes as Dash mode. Does not get hotter than expected (the official OnePlus Dash Chargers that work on normal sockets get hotter than this item does)!

Don't waste your money
Disconnects after a few seconds of use. I wouldn't really call this a charger as it doesn't actually charge anything. Just displays what are supposed to be current usage..

Works great. I like the digital voltage display on the face. It let's you know when the phone is actually charging.

I would certainly recommend the charger for a vehicle with the right voltage ...
The dash car charger is a well made quality charger, however, due to the high voltage output of my vehicle it would not charge my Oneplus 5T. I would certainly recommend the charger for a vehicle with the right voltage output.
