Good Buy!
My two Bassett Hounds love these things- to the point they fight over them, even though we have four of them! They're pretty indestructible- I was shocked. They aren't slimy or stinky, either- another surprise. They haven't splintered or broken off- very important when you already have high maintenance animals. Pleased, and will purchase again- if I ever have to!

Great for aggressive chewers!
This is a great alternative to plastic toys for dogs. I have a very aggressive chewer who is only 1 years old but rips through almost anything(including our furniture). This horn has kept him very occupied and doesn’t have any bad smells like I’ve seen reviewed on other products. This along with some antlers will keep your dog busy for a long time

My GSDs love these
These have lasted so long for our GSDs. The down side is that they like to pick them up and drop them on the ceramic tile floors. It is so dang loud! They slide nicely along the floors though so it is a fun way to play with our dogs. They will chase them then hunker down and chew on them.

Small but sufficient. Softer than antlers or bone.
These are great for our dogs st this price point. The small size I ordered are smaller than ones I’ve purchased elsewhere; however, I find it makes no difference in longevity because buffalo horns get splintery on the edges of the hollow side. I stop letting my dogs chew them at this point for concern of cuts or ingesting a splintered piece. Ultimately the edges of a large or small piece are about equally durable and long-lasting, so buying bigger ones makes no difference. If my dogs chewed the narrow ends, it might be different. YMMV. Always keep track of how much your pooch has chewed on these. These aren’t has hard on the teeth as bone or antler, and they are less expensive than antler. They can emit an odor after enough chewing though.

Affodable and long-lasting!
This was a great score! It will take my dog forever to go through both of these! No mess, shards or crumbs to worry about, although they are a bit stinky and give her terrible breath when chewing... but worth it!

Not good for strong chewers
Update:I received my package earlier this afternoon at about 3:00 p.m. I gave one to my 11pound Shih Tzu, not a strong chewer at all. I just had to throw it away at 6:30 due to being able to bite a chunk off. I always check chew toys, etc. for anything that can harm them and I always monitor the dogs when they have these horns, I was watching her the time & she manages to bite off a chunk and by the time I got to her, she’d already swallowed it. I was laying right next to her. I don’t recommend this product at all and I’m going to return them. They splinter so fast and when they bite a portion, little or big, it’s like giving a dog a cooked or raw chicken leg.I will not purchase this again.I purchased two of these horns. One for my daughter’s 80 pound dog and one for my husband’s 80 pound dog. They’ve got different chewing styles, but are both strong chewers. Each dog had theirs chewed to the point of them starting to sliver in about 1.5-2 months, which then had to be taken away and tossed because as soon as they start splintering they get very sharp. The base of the horn is much, much thicker and harder to chew, that’s why they lasted so long. I do recommend these horns, but always monitor your dogs when chewing or playing with toys. If these horns were as thick at the tips as they are at the base, they’d last quite a while.

Buffalo horn chews
My frenchies usually chew through things fast but these are long lasting.
