SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch 5 40mm Bluetooth Smartwatch w/Body, Health, Fitness and Sleep Tracker, Sapphire Crystal Glass, Enhanced GPS Tracking, US Version, Silver Bezel w/Purple Band (Renewed)

I originally bought a Fitbit Versa Lite because I am not tech savvy and only wanted one to tell time and count steps. When the Fitbit came in it would not work except on the charger. I contacted support, they were nice and helpful but the watch was defective. After some research I found out Fitbit has quite a bit of problems so I went with the Samsung Galaxy watch 5 44mm. I was nervous it would be hard to use and it was not at all. The watch started up immediately and was very easy to sync to the phone app. The screen size is nice. The instructions were simple. Even though I didn't originally want all the extras I am enjoying them. In the app, you can customize your face watch in so many ways. I have mine set up to have battery life, steps, date and time on front. You can change the background color, font color, and many different options on backgrounds and personalization. Navigating the watch is easy as well and it looks nice. I changed out the watch band with a different color and it was easy to do. Its not as light to wear as Fitbit but doesn't feel heavy either. The only complaint is the battery life. I set the watch on battery saving mode (it still allowed texts and phone calls to come in and counted steps) the watch lasted about 2 and half days before needing to be charged again. I heard the Fitbit's can go a full week. That's the only complaint I have about the watch. I had other watches that were off brand smart watches. It use to really bother me that when I would drive my car it would keep counting steps on the watch. The Samsung does not do that at all. It only counts the steps you actually walk!

Honest review, Have had this almost a month and Its been great. However if your not a watch person but want to wear it because the smart features but hate the plastic rubber wrist band i suggest looking into the stretchy elastic bands or ever the boho style bands . Definitely makes a huge difference in being comfortable. Overall the watch is great I do have to charge it every other day but usually try to everyday during my relaxing time if your into your steps ect charge it when you go in shower or resting watching a movie slow time at work ect. I was little surprised it doesn't have a camera how most smart watches do. you can take pictures from your watch but from your phone if that makes sense like prop the phone up and use the watch to click it ect. I will say it disconnects from my phone if I go to far... which i thought is odd i figured if you wanted to leave your phone and have your watch it would work like quick store run or walk around the block but no it disconnects. Maybe its ment to and I just didn't read it correctly lol but anyways im pleased with the purchase.

So far works great, and is easy to use and is comfortable. Lost a star because I ordered the silver with purple band, but received the rose gold with pink band. Not a deal breaker since I can buy a purple band and silver cover.

UPDATE: I guess it needed a lot of uodates the next day it was working amazingly. The battery last all day from 6:30am to 7pm it still has 85% battery. Very very happy with it. OLD REVIEW: It wont stop updating and it drains the battery so fast. I bought this so I can hear when my kids school calls and I am unable to do anything with this thing.

I bought this watch to use to view my sugar levels from my CGM. It works perfectly. Stays charged for an entire day of use for me. The charger it came with works wonderfully. I bought this refurbished here an Amazon and I'm very satisfied bc it is the S5 and this is 2025 so I've had it for several months and it was a fantastic purchase. It picks up calls great, texts, even listen to my music on here. I wear this every single day as I t1d and my cgm readings have to be visible to me at all times. It has nice features and I'm so impressed that it is this great and it wasn't new. Way to go Samsung and Amazon.

I am not sure this was a good purchase, I got the watch this morning charged it to 100 percent and its 10:41 am and I am at 21 % it wont charge back up because the watch is extremely hot and it says cool down. It wont connect to my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra so it wont connect to my Dexcom, this is why I bought it in the first place very disappointed . Giving it tell tomorrow then if its still wont connect I will be returning this. The watch came looking brand new though. If I get it working will change this review. But for now I want to throw this at the wall so bad. Also the battery does not last I have shut everything off, and I still have to charge it every night. I got the Fitbit for my husband his last 5 days before he has to charge his. I will give it a few more days to decide if this was worth it.

I received the watch an hour before work. It only 19% when I received it. I charged it was 70% (for faster charging i recommend to buy original fast charger) I worked my 12 hour shift. I used the watch for about 5 hours (it total) throughout my shift. My watch had 22% when I arrived home. This moring without charging it, stayed at 22%. Battery life is reasonable. Everything came in good condition. No problems.
