Will this door contact work with scantronic 9448 alarm panel?

I’m sure my system is a scantronic 9448 and this works very well. Also has the tamper wires built in

How does the magnet fit to the roller shutter? Does it screw into one of the horizontal slats?

Two ways to fit depending on the type of door 1-coach bolt through the door with the magnet upright leaving a small gap between contact and magnet 2 bolt flat to the lip some shutters have at the bottom but remember to move the contact to suit If this is a grade 3 contact tolerances matter to the MM in alignment

Will this work from a 12 volt transformer and power a twelve volt buzzer

It will - But if the buzzer circuit draws more than a few milliamps the reed contact in the unit may deteriorate over time because of electrical arcing. A small capacitor across the contact may help prevent this arcing.

These are normally closed contacts meaning that when the door is closed the circuit is closed, when the door opens the circuit opens. Hope that clarifies the operation of them.

It's of solid construction.

I like the fact it's of solid construction.I would have liked the part that fits on the roller door, to have been smaller. Not so wide.I may have to cut it down.
