I have worked at an office desk for 8 years & suffer from chronic neck & shoulder pain & a bulging disk. The regular heating pads don’t fit right on my neck & shoulders, but this one does the trick perfectly! The highest setting doesn’t get quite as hot as I’d like for it to (for safety reasons) but it still works wonders & I use it several times a week! Great quality & very soft material.

No heat on high, had the same Sunbeam pad several years ago that was great, this was a waste. Seams all heating past are more miss than hit.

excellent, I did prefer the previous model which to me was slightly smaller but I've had good luck with the brand, does shut off so I don't worry, heat levels seem accurate. I don't think this is 'moist heating' at all - I have that at the physical therapist this is very consistent heating, good levels to choose. Like all heat pads, be careful on the hottest setting, I never use that just seems too hot. Gave 4 stars because this is my 3rd time buying, just seems like these are terrific but last maybe a year or two, then I re-purchase. Great deal but have to knock a star off since they do stop working eventually.

I bought as a replacement item for the same heating pad that met its reasonable useful lifetime. This heating pad works great for the target area.

Best heating pad for neck and shoulder pain

Heat is my main form of daily pain management and this is what I repurchase every few years. Not anymore. It gets hot for maybe 2 minutes and then goes down to warm, the edges of the heated part will even be completely cool, then it will crank up again at some point later on right before it auto offs. My previous one left marks on me because it was so hot but IT WORKED. This one just makes me angry.

I had hopes, based on the size description and measurements, that this would cover the areas I needed it to on my neck, shoulder and upper back. It falls short, literally. The heat is nice but I am constantly pulling it tighter to maintain contact with my neck and shoulder areas. I often overlap the front sections to keep it tight against my skin. Maybe I should have gotten the smaller one, but my shoulders are broad, so that's why I went with the larger version. I have not had any issues with burning from the unit getting too warm, nor have I had problems with the electrical components. That's a big plus. There is a plastic smell, but you can't get away from that with much these days.
