Very sharp! No joke. I got a knick from just a touch. Respect your knife and always use the guard it comes with. You are limited on the size of the slice by the shape of the bow. But, I use it everyday.

I regularly make bread and found that on my sourdough bread this is the best knife to use. My sourdough has crispy crust and some what firm interior and this knife is better than any other I have. On my yeast bread that has a crust and a very soft inside it is same difficulty as my other knives.

I actually really do like this. I feel like it may be user error, but I still feel like I have to push really hard at the bottom to get the bread to separate. I can tell you it is extremely sharp and I have a plastic cutting board. It has completely ate up my cutting board, but I am OK with that. It really does work better than a regular bread knife for sourdough.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased this to use for sour dough. I found it to be sharp enough and good quality but not very user friendly. If you are looking for a decent knife for larger loaves, this would do the trick but there are better options too. It's worth it's value but just not the best for my personal use.

Like most women I have succumbed to the sourdough stage in my life. I own a bread knife and it doesn’t do a dang thing when cutting sourdough. I thought if a bread knife couldn’t cut through bread what else could possibly work. Well, this knife cuts through it like butter! My slices are finally thin and even! I was honestly shocked and was kicking myself for not buying one sooner. Worth every penny!
