They work well enough - but unused ink disappears in the cleaning cycles
Each cartridge is individually wrapped, so you can change one at a time without risking the others drying out. Changing cartridges is easy and these seem to contain a useful amount of ink. My only complaint is, I suspect, something unavoidable: I don't print much but the ink continually depletes regardless of this. I suspect this is part of the head cleaning process, and it's either that or risk the head getting blocked, but it does mean I use more ink than I actually print to paper.

Never printed 550 pages with it
This is supposed to be a genuine Brother cartridge. So I wonder if this is the quality of the genuine article maybe I should not have bought a Brother printer.Printer started flagging yellow cartridge as empty after printing only a few pages and in b&w! The cartridge should last the advertised lifetime and print around 550 pages but instead it did print about ten sheets of paper...not happy at all!

Don't waste your money
Absolute waste of money. I bought this in June. I must have printed two or three items in black and white and tonight (now October of the same year I bought the item) I needed to print something in colour. The cartridge is showing as full on the printer screen but is not actually printing anything in red/ pink. I have cleaned the printer heads etc with no joy. Other colours are printing okay. Obviously it's past the "return window". Hard lesson learned - do not buy such items from Amazon.

The real McCoy at last!
Unlike the supposedly compatible package of inks I previously bought from Amazon, these cartridges are recognised by the printer. Of course, as they're manufactured by Brother, that's only what one would expect. It's annoying that stuff is sold by Amazon that doesn't work and yet remains on the website. Amazon clearly pay no attention to what is said in reviews. It's also irritating that manufacturers like Brother insist on adding identification chips to their print cartridges, but I guess that's another story.

If you don't want to risk damage to your printer or voiding your warranty these are the only way to go!!
If you don't want to risk damage to your printer or voiding your warranty these are the only way to go!!Compatibles can save you money, but with these genuine s you won't get ink all over your fingers or have the frustration of sending them back!!This was for a customer, and we haven't seen him since - that can only be a good sign!

Quality good, price outrageous.
I used the non-official ones once and spent quite a lot of time sorting out blocked nozzles, so I'm back having to buy these expensive ones. The black one didn't last very long at all so next I'm going to buy the expensive big one. Think twice when you buy a printer. These aren't particularly more expensive than other brands but it's not the printer you pay for, it's the outrageously expensive ink.

Answer to prayer......
I have stacks of countries around somewhere but they all packed away.I decided to order one to get me out of jail.It came on time went straight in, the printer saw it straight away, It ran straight up. No compatibility issues .I would say it's that print quality it's not brilliant I think Fairness it's highly unlikely that's the fault this cartridge. I probably should have I given it 5 stars.

Lasted about ten sheets of paper...
Supposedly genuine Brother cartridges. If this is the quality of the genuine article perhaps I should not have bought a Brother printer. Hardly got any prints out of them before the printer started flagging them up as empty. They are very far from cheap even if they were to last the advertised lifetime, but for about ten sheets of paper...
