Working great so far.
Right now using the smaller version to filter my cats 40oz drinking water (tiny pump broke). Very quiet pump, no leaks, good flow and adjustment range. I was surprised it worked because usually these pumps have to be somewhat below the tank water line and this was at the same level as her bowl, but after priming the pump, it took right off without a problem. Once I get the real fish tank set up I might have to get another one of these because she likes lapping at the shower streams lol. I also like the relaxing sound of the streams, just a tad bit louder than my table top water fall feature. I also like that her water will be much cleaner. Maybe I just happen to get a good one in the bunch or they fixed all the leaking issues. Looks like this one has double o-ring seals. A lite coating of Vaseline around the tubes and o-ring connections helps further to prevent leaking. Hope everyone enjoys there purchase and are happy as much as I am.

It nice when it works.
The product is nice when it works. But to get it started is a pain in the butt, because the seals are not the best it loses sucking very easily, so if you accidentally bump into the tank or the table the filter's intake stops .

A good solid pump
Pros: super easy setup requires little effortCons: directions written in chingrishI use this on my vertical 20galllon tank and it keeps everything nice and clean. Like all filters Id only recommend you use them at or below their minimum rating its not that they can't handle more its more of keeping them alove and chugging for as long as possible. Given how easy this was to figure out I imagine it will last a long time.Setup is literally just drop in the motor, line up the filter media and clamp the top on. From there everything is plug and play simple.

Worth the great price
Have 2 of the old style filters with the motor inside the unit. The old ones also came with different layers of filter this one only has the single sponge. That isn't a big deal as I have cut to size filters of different material and more than enough biomedia, matrix, and purigen.. I have yet to connect 1 of the old styles to this new one, which seems like a great idea having the first for debris, and the next stacked with media. Keep impeller clean and you'll be good to go. Can't beat the price. Only wish these new ones had these new motors internally as they do have more suction and are adjustable. Could have added a longer inlet pipe than the previous one for taller tanks. But I'm nitpicking. Darker grey tubes look sharper than the old green ones. Eventually will get 1 of these for my 2 55s each and buy another to connect 1 of my old ones to my 90 gallon south anerican tank having the same setup as my 150 central cichlid tank. Still have yet to check out their hob. Wink* may have some videos to make.

Difficult to get running right
So if this is your attempt at using a canister type filter I def DO NOT recommend getting this unit. It has no primer so it’s difficult to get running properly. It kept pumping all the water out of the filter before it starting siphoning the water out of the tank. It would run for a minute then it would start sucking air. I would have to pull it apart fill it and hope it primed and would run. It took me 30 min to get it running properly. Also the metal locking tabs for the top are a bit flimsy. Once it’s running it does a decent job. It’s small low profile and moves a ton of water. It uses all sponges not really a way to put other materials in it since the power cord runs through the sponge material

Very Nice Filter
I have a 55 gallon outdoor pond. I bought this and all the components are quality made. It moves and filters a lot of water. I clean about once a week. The media inside is full of algae when I clean it. Been using it 24/7 for about 2 months now without a problem.
