Perfect for record collection!
The shelves are super easy to assemble, just a lot of pegs to insert to hold them together. I do wish the pegs were solid because that way the shelves would be way more sturdy. Otherwise, it’s a great buy. I originally bought two for my husband’s man cave for his records and decided to buy another two to accommodate his entire collection.

Fantastic-Not junk (as many reviews claim)
Let me start off by saying the 2 things I do before I buy an item are 1) read the description and 2) read the reviews. I knew going into this that the storage cubes are made of recycled reinforced cardboard (aka z-board, as the manufacturer calls it) because I read the description, which in fact, boldly advertises that the storage cubes ARE made of cardboard . So for those of you writing one star reviews and complaining that it’s made of the very material the description claims it to be, you clearly did not do your due diligence. Don’t expect the pieces to have the same properties as real wood (or the far more notorious particle board), it won’t -why??? Because it’s CARDBOARD!!!. As for the construction/assembly, I admit I was skeptical that wood dowels and 3M adhesive strips were going to be able to withstand the weight of a vinyl collection. I had some Titebond III wood glue and a small tube of Liquid Nails in the garage, so I decided to use them to strengthen the bonds of the unit. I dipped the wood dowels in the glue and ran a thin layer of LN along the non-adhesive surfaces. The pieces went together like a dream and the cubes are rock solid. Yeah, I did take a little extra time and did a little extra work, but I’m extremely happy with how the 2 sets I bought turned out. They look fabulous and seamlessly fit into my decor. My advice is do your research before you buy something, and you won’t end up being upset when your expectations don’t line up with reality.

Good for your vinyl display
If there’s an option for the display I’d give it a 4.5 rating. Perfect size just what I wanted. The thing I don’t like is that they don’t come with screws. They come with those wooden nails and they have those stick on item that you can connect when you set it up but it’s easy to put it all together. I wish they would require screws cause you may never know if anything can happen out of nowhere and it’s wobbly so be careful when you move it.

A Truly Remarkable Product
There's a euphanism I'm familiar with - "put together with tape". I say that because I want you to know I'm aware of that figure of speech, and that's not what intend to say here. This unit (if one could call it that, any unit I have ever heard of have some element of 'staying together' whereas this seems to have an affinity to reject its components with a resiliency not often seen outside of war) is literally put together with tape. Not gorilla tape, which may have fared better, not duct tape, but dual sided 3M tape, the thickness of which can't possibly measure more than a few microns; if it wasn't for its useless glare contrasting against what I can only assume is compacted paper diapers, you wouldn't know it was there. But I had purchased it, and since it serves but one purpose, I managed to put it together easily enough. Trouble struck on the long journey from the assembly table to its final resting place - a distance of 63 inches. I was careful to read the instructions, which admittedly were the most well produced item of anything in the box, and took hold of the bottom shelf "so as not to pull the adhesive (generous) apart".I was about 43 inches into the grueling journey when, like a stack of loose textbooks, the panels took flight in any direction they could. This unit has the structural integrity of the hull of the Titanic circa 2019, after sitting at the bottom of the Atlantic for a century. This stand is more unstable than all of my ex-girlfriends, combined, by a wide margin. I'm somewhat confident, given enough time and adhesive, I could construct a better option out of standard playing cards which had been soaked overnight in used lubricant.Anyway, it looks fine, and I'll give it a second star for providing the inspiration for this useless prose - which, undoubtedly, will have a legacy that lasts longer than the piece of 'furniture'.Tl;Dr: Its junk, but nothing a little wood glue, screws, replacement lumber, paint, polish, finish, and humor can't fix.

Great Concept & Great Products
I really like the concept of this company, but admit I was a bit skeptical of the sturdiness of the product. After all, the crates and shelves are made of cardboard-like material. So for my first order, I simply ordered two of the cubes in the orange and white color for my son's room to help organize his hoodies. The cubes took less than 5 minutes to assemble and we were ready to stack. We love the bright color scheme and were so pleased with the product I next ordered a double crate for storing my vinyl records. The box arrived crumpled at a corner, and to my dismay, the product was damaged. But as with my first order, the product had a message from the founder, along with his email. I snapped a photo and sent a picture. Within hours I had a response and after exchanging the order number and a description of what happened, I got a message from the founder with a promise for a replacement product with no questions asked! I only requested a replacement piece, but they were happy to send an entire new crate. Now that's customer service. The crates are super sturdy and store my record collection safely. I will definitely buy it again.

Use Wood Glue!!! Two-sided Tape = Garbage
This is fine as long as you use wood glue during assembly. This will literally fall apart if you rely on the flimsy two sided tape and a prayer. I learned this when I assembled a similar shelf from the same company. Wood glue, wood glue, wood glue! I can't stress it enough. I purchased a similar shelving unit from the same company in 2018 and they used actual wood and screws and those are going strong. They were also twenty dollars cheaper. This is basically a glorified, expensive cardboard box. This shouldn't cost more than 35 bucks. By the way, did I say to use wood glue?
