Very good buy
Pretty good for the price. Many here complaining about how to open. It has a pretty easy way to open people -use a coin. It worked like a charm. You can verify it’s accuracy by sitting in a slow speed car holding outside the window (don’t drop it) and match its numbers with what’s on the speedometer 🤣🤣

Batteries not included. great inexpensive meter!
Haven't yet tried it in the field, but bench checking it around the house, it seems great. The directions aren't bad, but not perfect. only thing that may be confusing is how to set the type of wind reading you want. Avg, Max, or Current (Cu). just keep pressing the set button to access these settings after holding down(3sec.) the mode button. Same as the wind speed measurement, but you have to keep pressing "set" past speed type to get the type of reading you want. for $10 with the 10% code this thing is great!!. takes a while for the temp to read right but it was within 1-2 degrees of the outside temp. from my local weather station. plastic outer protector feels more like a pvc rather than a silicone but fills the bill just fine. backlight is nice. Batteries not included. Not a big deal.. most times cheap amazon items like this show up with a dead battery anyway. o-ring on the battery cover is a good sign for weather proofing, but i won't be trying it out in any monsoons. Love the handy size. Lanyard is long enough to hang around you neck and a get a wind reading with out taking it off. this is going to make a great addition to my range bag when i go shooting and to add key info to my shooting app. no more Kentucky windage, now it's Benetech windage.. great item of $10 with the 10% off coupon. no complaints

Don't waste your money
While on vacation, I bought this unit to compare windspeeds with those of the local weather station. It DOES NOT WORK! After following the instructions, and inserting the battery, the unit failed to turn on. Fortunately, my wife and I travel with a variety extra batteries, and I inserted a new battery with no results. We are presently in a semi-rural area with no access to a printer for an Amazon return sticker and over 35 miles away from a UPS location to return the package. I just tossed the unit in the trash.

Works great. Easy to use
I honestly cant figure out why anyone had issues with the battery compartment. Take off the rubber, use a quarter, put that battery in so it depresses a tiny lever. Use the same quarter to put the cover one. Replace the rubber cover.I do wish it took a AA or AAA battery. But this is a great unit. It came with the battery.

The instruction is really unclear and hard to install the battery
The instruction didn't mention how to install the battery. It has a mismatched picture. Firstly, it looks like the battery chamber is covered by the yellow rubber and it is missing a cut. Secondly, one may realize the whole rubber thing can be peeled to expose the black hard plastic enclosure. Then, you will still have trouble opening the battery chamber with a coin. It is a really badly manufactured item with tons of trouble to just insert the battery. The materials are not catchy either.

Should I fly my drone or not?
Now I know. I don't know how super accurate the thing is yet. I have not compared its reported wind speed to official weather information. But if it shows 30 mph then I pretty much will leave my drone in its kit bag.PSA: To power off, hold the mode and then tap the set button. This may be documented somewhere but I was unable to locate it. I would recommend.

Accurate
When I received unit I found instructions easy to understand . . I compared wind speed results with other instruments and found satisfactory results . Then on a still day with no wind used it in truck and found very accurate results compare to GPS and speedometer . . Very good value

Perefct wind indicator
Great product, price, quality, ease of use and with a case and lanyard to protect it. I couldn't be more pleased with this product . I have been using daily to see the wind speeds vs accu weather for my area, of course they are getting the wind indicator from a weather station that is not of course my home so I expect the differences. Great highly recommend for the casual user just looking to get an indicator for at home and while out in other areas.
