Great book arrived in good condition.
Great book, DENSE! I usually love thorough books that have more info than I need but this takes it to a whole new level. Arrived in great condition and was accurately described.

The benchmark wine reference book.
Comprehensive and incredible resource for anyone who loves wine. I can't imagine even most elite sommeliers would be beyond the scope of knowledge in this book. Buy this, the "World Atlas of Wine" by Johnson and Robinson, "The Wine Bible" by McNeil, and "Wine Folly" by Puckette and Hammack, you will have the essential home library of wine reference books circa 2025.

Excellent reference book
This book has entries for the vast majority of wine and related terms. I just wish it had pronunciation keys as well.

Best available single-volume wine reference in publication
I am a professional sommelier (CMS L2 certified, WSET L3) and craft cocktail bartender. IMHO, The Oxford Companion to Wine (5th ed.) is still the best available wine encyclopedia in a single volume. Over the last 25 years, I have owned four of the five printed editions of the Oxford Companion, and I have found it to be the single most indispensable wine reference in my work. It is has been continually updated, enlarged and improved over its history, and I strongly recommend it for both wine professionals as well as amateur oenophiles who simply want to learn more about wine (or authoritatively settle arguments among friends!).
