Ideal for semi matt finishes
What's good for gloss varnish or lacquer is not so good for matt and semi matt finishes. These must be kept away from any sort of wax. Detailer is ideal, cleaning and imparting a pleasant sheen, without streaks or patches, and a measure of protection. I have two archtops with semi matt finishes, and Detailer was perfect on them.

Worked well with matte finish
Worked well with matte black finish, only used 1 or 2 sprays but did the job.To worried to use anything else and mess up the finish.

Good for satin guitars
Used on my satin guitars - particularly improves the look of my Taylor GS Mini, which otherwise can look dull. I confess to using furniture polish (I know I know) on my Lacquered guitars, but this stuff is great for Satin.

Essential for Satin Finish
Works great on my satin finish guitar, puts up a bit of resistance to sweat/marks as well which is ideal if you're gigging! Definitely buy if you own a satin finish guitar, can't say for gloss but sure it would work great there as well.

Made my satin finish look great
One spray on a micro fibre cloth was enough to make my guitar look brand new. Smells odd but it fades, it’s not necessarily a bad smell either
