Works and looks good

I've had this for over a year now, installed into headliner of my truck, and looks great, works flawlessly, I use the remote option for control which works no problems. The lightbox is a bit bulky but I was able to tuck it away where it will never be seen. If you have the patience and time to poke hundreds of holes and run the Fibre strands, well worth it! I layed mine out in grids to evenly distribute the strands.

I got this AKEPO 16W dual-head fiber optic starlight kit for my 2011 BMW 328xi, and overall I really like it. The twinkle effect is really cool and makes the starlights look much more realistic. One thing I didn’t like was that I counted all the strands before installing them and only had 849 instead of the advertised 860, so I was short 11 strands. It’s not a huge deal for me, but it was still disappointing to be short some. The motor is also pretty big and didn’t fit inside my headliner, so I had to run the fiber optic strands through the side panel near my trunk and mount the motor on the trunk instead. Luckily, the strands are long enough to reach that far, which made this much easier. Despite those issues, I really like how the lights turned out. The twinkle effect looks great, and the long strands worked perfectly for my setup. Overall, I’m happy with the kit and love how my headliner looks.
