Evergreen Cashmere is a very nice scent, it's got the fir note in their for sure and is accurate to the stated profile on the site: Top: Fresh Aldehydes, Warm Spice, Pine Needle | Mid: Pinyon Pine, White Flowers, Cream | Base: Fir Balsam, Sandalwood, Cashmere. The creamy cashmere notes remind me of Azzaro Visit fragrance. This is my first time burning an ellipse woodwick and I love it, already ordered another in a different scent. It does crackle for sure but most of the sound is a fiery hiss. It's a very soothing sound. I have burned this candle for about twelve hours now and have about half left. So their boasted burn time of 60-100 hours is insane, but still I think this is a lot of burn time. And I did have the door open with breeze blowing over the candle for much of its burn time. Be sure on the first burn to let it go until you get a full wax pool to the edges and then let it burn down for another hour after that. I let mine go for four hours on the first burn and it has made the three subsequent sessions go perfectly, as the wax pool expands faster, the wick is still above the wax enough to produce a large flame, and it burns totally evenly. You probably want to let the wax pool get all the way to the edge each time but with each burn after the first, this is much faster. This is an excellent value, even if you pay full price, as when I look up the woodwick you'd need for this candle, those alone go for $16.95 for four of them on amazon, and then you'd need a pound of wax blend and adequate fragrance and dye. I was able to use the lid to extinguish the candle, leaving the sticker on the inside intact. It seems like they may have designed it this way, as the candle goes out immediately and any soot that gets on the sticker wipes off easily with a damp paper towel. Update after burning two more of these: The second one I got had a dangerously high flame. On the first burn, it had a full wax pool to edges within ten minutes and that should take an hour or more to happen. I tried to adjust it by snuffing it out then trimming the wick, but whatever was going on, that didn't help. The flame was low to regular to giant within 20 minutes. I just rolled with it, not letting the thing out of sight and burning it on a cold night when I wanted an indoor mini fireplace ( I would not recommend y'all risk that if you get a fiery one). The result was that I maybe got 12 total hours from that candle, and it actually made the fragrance throw worse due to heavy sooting. But the vessel still cleaned up perfectly. The third candle is burning normally but I did have to trim between one of the sessions. I used a nail clipper to trim it, as scissors will produce a much more uneven result and unevenly burning flame. End cutting nippers will achieve the most uniform result. The wood lids continue to work as excellent snuffers, I think the sticker is a required aspect of that though. The soot will clean off easily with a damp paper towel. You can also place the candle on the lid, sticker side facing up and it will most likely cling together enough that you can move it safely as one unit across a wood desk or other smooth surfaces. Tip to clean the glass container when you're done: use a rounded knife, like a butter knife or palette scraper, to remove large bits of excess wax then wipe the vessel with Ethyl Alcohol wipes. I like the 365 disposable hand sanitizer wipes and I swear this is not an ad, I just found out on a whim that they are perfect for removing soot and wax.
