What a hit this was for our marble obsessed kiddo. We mounted metal panels to his bedroom wall and he spends is much time building and rebuilding! Such a smart system. I was worried it would be the quality we were looking for, but live that I was wrong!

Pros: This kit was a lot of fun. It’s great being able to see what you can make happen when given a bunch of pieces and free reign to see what you can make happen with that. I purchased the 150 piece kit specifically for the spiral lift as I wanted the ability to to be perpetual (like the original Makeway kickstarter came with). The corner pieces were critical to being able to use it while building a course that spanned my fridge and freezer and still be able to use both (see video). It’s funny seeing how someone said it would be unlikely anyone would have any need for more than the 75-piece kit. I purchased the 150 and wanted a lot more! Cons: The biggest issue is your run won’t always be consistent between runs, which can lead to a fair amount of frustration. Sometimes my run goes perfectly, and then the next run will see the marble flying off the track. The magnets are also borderline in being strong enough for my fridge. Granted, you can use more of the magnet connectors for most pieces to add additional strength (except the corner pieces), but you’ll quickly find you don’t have nearly as many connectors that you want as it is. To pull off the run you see in my video, you can see that I had to use one magnet to hold the ends of two pieces in almost every piece to make them go further. I’m even using catapults and spinners to provide additional track stability, lol. If I had more magnetic connectors, I would have used more on the pieces that take the most impact to keep them from shifting between runs. I was also a little surprised the kit didn’t include even a generic 9 volt, but maybe other people won’t be phased by that. I didn’t have a spare on me so I had to make a special run just to get one. All in all, it was a lot of fun, and I’d love to see an even bigger kit than this with twice as many connectors. Because of the need for more connectors for stability and the ease with which the marble can fly off the track, it’s hard to give this five stars. That being said, don’t let my four star rating make you hesitate to pull the trigger on this, as I haven’t seen a better kit out there for this, and frustrations aside, you’re going to have a blast playing with this. Oh yeah, as as others have said, block the area under your fridge and stove if using this in your kitchen, because you will 100% end up with marbles rolling underneath them, lol.

Hours of fun

Fantastic idea, but needs to go back to drawing board for some strengthening tips so you get your $$ worth. Very very fun activity. I have it on the side of the fridge and every child that comes in has to inspect and play with it. I've created a number of configurations with all 6 of my grand children now. Each one having a blast. The poor reviews pretty much nailed all the issues I also had with the set.. but it's certainly worth more than a 1 rating. I wouldn't go above a 3 due to the expense of it vs the quality. Value? well it's not really for little fingers and frankly the pieces break, twist, or come apart very easy. They don't really snap in as nicely as you would hope so that adds to the difficulty of getting a working structure. Plus the magnet wasn't really strong enough to keep the pieces in place after 1 or 2 marble runs. Our set was missing pieces, one piece missing was vital to the battery operated Shute. We worked around that missing piece. but that was a bummer. I would have to say we got a ton of fun but 70 dollars is a lot to pay for something that's pretty much ruined after a few months, (and not because of rough play either). It's really fragile so it should be considered for older kids.

Got this for our son. It’s a lot of fun to play with. Only draw back so far which is likely a surface issue and not the products issue is when we use it on our black stainless fridge which is magnetic the pieces tend to move with force of the marbles hitting them. So it’s just turned into how do we slow down or lower the velocity the marble is traveling at to make it so we don’t need to adjust ever couple of marbles. Other than that it had 4 adults playing with it on Christmas. It is very engaging

He spent hours playing with this thing. Magnet strength is tough. The sturdiness is a little on the bad side bc it is plastic material. It’s easy to set up and play with. The value for money seems too expensive for me but it did last long. It’s pretty big. Lots of things to make with it

Nosotros cogimos una pizarra magnética aparte y así pueden hacer los circuitos durante horas sin ocupar la nevera.
