Schick Hydro Silk Women's Depilatory Cream for Body and Bikini Area

I love this product! It's Nair 2.0 and a long, long way from where we started. Anyone else old enough to remember the jingle, Who wears short shorts, Nair for short shorts? My point is, if you haven't tried leg and body hair removal products in a long time, you should try again since there have been major improvements. Caveat, I'm 57 so my legs grow less hair and are easier to shave but Hydro Silk is awesome! You have to put it on pretty thick and be okay with using all or almost all of it for one shave. But it makes the legs and armpits hairless and smooth (I've had mixed results on the more intimate areas) and lasts for a long time. I made notes on my calendar that my legs were smooth for 10-12 days and on the 13th day there was stubble. To me, it's worth it. It definitely beats shaving 3-4 times during that time.

You'll need a thick layer to ensure the hairs are covered completely. After following the directions regarding maximum allowed waiting time, it removed some underarm hairs but not all of it. I completed a second application to the same area. It did remove more hairs but still not all. Given the total time and the results, I would not recommend this for a person with course hair. I suspect it may be more effective when applied to very fine hair. The smell was not entirely unpleasant, but still quite strong and noticeable to me and others in the same room I was in while waiting for the timer to go off.

I was hoping the smell wouldn’t be as strong as other hair removers, but it was and lingered for a while. No irritation on coarse hair but the product was so hard to get down drain. Clumped together. Will not buy again.

I was skeptical but this stuff really works. The smell isn’t as chemical as other products. It doesn’t last as long as waxing or other hair removal options, but it was easy and painless.

The smell is lighter than other hair removal products. It also removes hair quickly but also doesn’t irritate my skin in facial or bikini area.

difficult to spread, takes a while to actually work and doesn't wash off easily. a real pain to use. i'd rather just shave
